Step One
Cut a strip for the back of the cabinet
Step Two
Cut 24″ side & middle strips
Step Three
Apply a small amount of glue about 1" away from the wall
Step Four
Position side & middle strips about 1″ from the wall
Step Five
Apply glue to front edge of side strips
Step Six
Cut & position front strip with desired overhang

I love how simple and precise this system is for capturing 2- (or even) 3-dimensional areas for shelving, countertops, stair skirts, cabinets, and more!I strongly recommend a small, inexpensive squeeze bottle (with a needle tip) for holding and dispensing the acetone. Also, remember to scribe the sides adjacent to curved or uneven surfaces before final glue-up of the strips for an extra tight, customized fit!As a DIYer, there are many things I learned to improve the process and outcome when using these templating strips; one of the most important: back-cut the final piece that butts up to a perpendicular surface by 15-30° for ease of adjustment and improved joinery.Loved the product and professional-looking outcome!

Great product. Used it to build shower panel out of foam and epoxy. Easy to use and very strong.

I'm having counter tops made and whipped up this template. Easy to use. Got ready to bring it to the fabricator, but they said that they didn't use DIY templates. We'll send our guy out. The guy came out to make his template, but ended up using mine. He said it was sturdier than anything he could have made and he kept asking how it was made. His glue never works properly and they end up stapling their templates together. Very strong bonds. My template was a U-shape that was more than 14 feet long on one side. It just rolled right up for transport. I can't say enough good things about this product. It performs exactly as it should
