Won't fit the posts. on our decorative fence. I dealt the caps to be 1 1/2 inches ID.

Excellent product! Nicely constructed, paint was solid/good. Unfortunately it was a quarter of an inch too large for my project (smallest size available). Had to return it. ☹️
