I purchased this device to convert my old cassette tapes to mp3s. Unfortunately, until you buy it and read the INSTRUCTIONS INSIDE THE BOX AND NOT ON THE WEB PAGE, you don't learn that you need a very specific flash drive which costs as much as the radio, doubling the cost of this project. On top of that, the flash drive is hard to find because it's an older technology. If the radio had come with the flash drive, it would have been a better solution. Now I have a radio that is only so-so as a radio, and no way to convert my cassettes.

Garbage player. After 3 songs played on cassette, it eat it up thus ruining an old recording. Plus it would not record to USB then it malfunctioned with no audio, could not hear my tapes anymore. All this within the first 20 minutes of using it. Not well constructed either. Returned item.

This cassette tape player and radio work GREAT. It is very well made and solid. Not cheap at all. It takes 4 AA batteries not included. I got it for when the power goes out, and when my car is being serviced while I wait. I have two cassette tapes and will be buying 2 or 3 more. LOVE IT.

I really liked this machine. My only problem was that I am unwilling to download another site to my computer just to seperate the files since this records one side of a tape as 1 file You can sit and press stop in between each song to get different files if you have the time
