These may look like a gimmick to you, but they are actually one of the un-sung heros of our kitchen. We bought our first 2 about 5 years ago, because we wanted something silicone to use as meat racks. That initial pair is still going strong today and we just bought another 2 because we used them so often. Their flexibility means you can create any size rack to turn a casserole or open pan into a roaster. Don't have to get that blue enamel one out of your closet to enjoy roast chicken, cornish game hens, pork or roast beef. BUT.. they are also great to keep defrosting fish or shellfish out of their juices - no more mushy fish or shrimp-smelling shrimp. The best way to clean them is to rinse off any obvious globs, then lay them flat on the upper rack of your dish washer. The ones we bought 5 years ago are indistinguishable from the ones we just got.

Works just fine in my crockpots. Clean up is easy, I put in the top rack of the dishwasher.

First time, I used it for my roast pork, it was still intact but slightly burned right after. It was very difficult to clean too. Second time, I used it for roasting lamb, it broke, I put it straight to the bin.

I was using rolled up aluminum foil for a make-shift rack in my crock pot. Wasted much foil. This product as I perfect. Adjusts to both sizes of my crock pots and goes in the dishwasher! I love this

This works so good in my crockpot. My crockpot has three sizes of pots and their wide at the top and smaller at the bottom so a regular grate wouldn't fit. These are flexible and fit right in. Also easy to clean.

I have been looking for a stainless steel roasting rack that will fit into my 5 qt. oval crock pot but ended up buying this and hoping it would work. I was shipped good and I washed it before using it. One reviewer said to heat it up in the oven before using it so I did this also. It is very flexable and fit my crock pot fine. I used it when I did a pork roast in my crock pot and that worked out fine keeping the juices below the meat. The problem came when I started cleaning up the non stick roasting rack. It's a form of plastic and absorbed the meat flavor which was pretty hard to get out of the plastic- I could really smell it. I soaked it in dawn detergent with white vinegar overnight and that made it better. I have to do this every time I cooked a meat with it but it is what it is. I just hope this doesn't leach out any dangerous chemicals over time. For now this is all I have to work with and it is doing the job.

It takes a bit of playing to work out how to best position the flexible rack in a pan, but once in place it does a great job keeping the food above the drippings. I gets filthy, of course - I roasted a marinated pork tenderloin on mine and it was stuck to the (nonstick) pan with goo, but it cleaned up nicely and it's ready to go again.

I've got 4 CrockPots, 2 stove top pressure cookers and recently picked up my first Instant Pot. Got 3 of these racks to keep chicken and ribs up so meats wouldn't boil in their own juices - works great. Tried them in the pressure cookers to keep tongue off the bottom of the pot but so they would boil in their own juices. Instant Pot is a newer purchase and have only used the rack once in it but now know for a fact this rack works with all 3 types of appliances. Bit of a PITA to clean, I've learned to place the rack in the bottom of the crock BEFORE putting a slow cooker liner in place. Haven't figured out a hack for cleaning after use in pressure cooker or Instant Pot yet. Regardless, racks work so well they are absolutely worth the money and the bother of cleaning.

This fits well in either my round or oval shaped roasting pans. To clean it I just tossed in the dishwasher & it came out great. I would buy this again.

I have many crock pots and spend the winter cooking everything in them. I bought one of these a few months ago and just bought 2 more. I love them!! One is fine for a smaller pot, or you can use 2 if you have a bigger one. The best function is that I can cook meat and all the grease goes to the bottom and the meat stays above it. I think its much healthier! They are dishwasher safe and I have also used them in the oven. My only issue is it takes a bit to clean them, even after soaking.

I have now used this a couple of times and am delighted with it. In both cases, I was cooking a roast and wanted to keep the meat off the bottom of the pot and that is exactly what happened. The roasts cooked really well and the drippings were perfect for gravy. I did put it in the dishwasher the first time and, for the most part, the parts the water reached were clean but I realized that I did not position it so that the whole rack would be cleaned. The second time I washed it by hand and that was a short, sweet, simple and easy exercise. I have not yet tried it in my combination electric pressure cooker-slow cooker but have no reason to expect it won't perform as intended. Another feature that I needed was something that would not scratch the non-stick coating in my combination slow cooker-pressure cooker and other similarly lined pots. Oh yes, I almost forgot: being silicon the meat rack can be twisted into any shape that is needed so it fits into all of my pots irrespective of their shape - round, square, oval, any shape or size - small, medium and large. It's versatility makes it one of the best tools in my kitchen. The five stars are appropriate.

this is a nice smaller version of the green laurel wreath rack and its therefore not a heavy but it has worked fine for me so far, easy to clean - silicone does nicely in the dishwasher. It is very easy to shape to your needs - not for the big items but works fine for the smaller pans etc.
