So great a collapsible colander takes up little space and I like the part that attached allowing for use to use as a bowl no perforations so no drips

Great little strainer. I was looking for all non toxic silicone. The bottom of this strainer is all hard plastic, where the food sits. The sides are silicone to allow collapsing. I would be much happier with more silicone, less plastic.

We use this little colander pretty much every day. This was a replacement for one we bought years ago. Over time, the bottom cover -- which keeps water from getting on your countertop -- got looser. After a couple times when the cover popped off and the counter got wet, it was time for a replacement. I find it really convenient to rinse fruit or veggies, then put the bottom on and take it to the kitchen island for chopping. The fact that it's collapsible means it takes up very little room in the drawer. This is one of those items you think you don't need, but you really will appreciate having it.

This little product is a work horse. I use it everyday; I bought one over 6 years ago and it still works great even after using almost everyday without fail. I just got another somemore to give as gifts and in orderto have a spare in case something happened to mine, I was afraid that I would be able to find again.

This is SO cute! Also extremely functional and practical. It's the perfect size for washing a serving or two of grapes, berries, or cherry tomatoes to tuck into my lunch bag. I love that it folds up (very easily) to be even more compact. I'm a traveling nurse so I have a few kitchen essentials that I carry with me - chosen with care for usefulness and packability. This is a great addition!

I was a little apprehensive about ordering this, but rest assured it is a great product. My morning juicing routine required me to wash a number of small amounts of veggies/fruits and it has really made it quite easy to juggle them all very fast. Easy to store and even hang if you can find the right sized hook, its compact and won't make you waste storage space like regular colanders.Do not be deceived by the picture the colander is oval in shape and the bottom cover is very tiny in comparison to what has been shown here. I received a green one and the color is not too bright but definitely not subtle. The cover at the bottom helps to fill up the colander when you need to soak the fruits/veggies, but it does leak if left for too long or moved around in haste. You will not be able to wash leafy greens in here, it is a little too small for that but grapes, strawberries, cut celery, apples (1-2), peas and broccoli will be easily managed in small quantities.

Sieb ist super, hatte schon welches aus USA mitgebracht. Ideal für kleine Sachen, Himbeeren, Trauben , Kirschen usw. Besonders wenn man kleine Kinder hat. Empfehlenswert.

Like other reviewers, I hated hauling out the colander (because you know how heavy they are?) to give some fresh produce a quick rinse. This is perfect for just such a task.The collapsibility makes storage easier and it's a 'soft' collapse, not a hard/sharp snap.It is a little smaller than you'd imagine, but still sufficient to wash a quart of berries or a single serving of pasta.The little bottom cover is actually far more useful than I'd imagine at keeping the water in the colander and off the counter. It was also handy for thawing shrimp in cold water and then easily draining it when I was done.Simple. Cheap. Useful.

I try to eat lots of fresh fruits and veggies, and these days it's pretty important to wash pretty much everything you eat that's fresh grown. This is true even of many items that say they are pre-washed. You almost never see the words, "ready to eat" on fresh food packaging. Anyway, I was in need of a new small mini-collander when my old one left the house with my ex. Here's what I have observed on the Progressive mini collander:PROS:Just the right size for 1-2 servings of fruits or veggies.Collapses flat for storage.Comes with a handy lid to sit the collander on. Very handy after rinsing, when you realize you didn't bring a bag with you to put the clean items in, and aren't quite sure how clean the counter is.Feels durable and well made.Dishwasher safe.Reasonable price.CONS:Not crazy about the color, but it's a collander, not a throw pillow.BOTTOM LINE:It's a great product, affordable, and has a handy lid to catch drips. I love it and heartily recommend it!
