This well designed and constructed unit was purchased to replace one that wore out. This unit appears to be a more rugged construction and so far is working great.

I personally am not a photographer, however my husband specifically asked for this for his birthday. He loves it, every time he comes back from taking pictures in our local parks and such, her raves about this item for hours.

This is a pretty good gimbal head for the price. It does not compare to the pricey name brand ones, but it works great at a fraction of the price. The only down side is that the mounting plate that comes with this is larger than a standard arca plate, so a regular plate does not fit well.

For people to have complaints over $600 gimble heads I decided to go the cheaper route. I was absolutley not disappointed. This product kills in every area unless you don't like weight. I happen to be okay with that because weight adds stability for me. This product feels like quality. It makes panning almost as easy as a fluid head or a gear head.

Built like a tank. Easy to adjust, action is smooth and pleasing. I wouldn’t recommend if you plan to travel with it, as it’s really heavy. Better for a more permanent destination or somewhere with minimal hiking.

I recently watched a respected YouTuber review 9 different gimbal heads, ranging between $250-$600. (Wimberly and Benro among them.) He had complaints about each one, the most common being range of motion and size/placement/operation of the knobs. No way I’m spending that much on gear that is disappointing even before I take it out of the box! Frustrated, I took a chance on this product just to try it out. After a number of hours in the field with this gimbal I must say I’m impressed. Whatever complaints the reviewer had with the others I’m sure he wouldn’t find here. The knobs are large and responsive, easy to find without looking. Gimbal can be solidly locked-down, loosened completely for quick panning, or anywhere in between to hold whatever position you put it in. It is stable and solidly built. It just works. My review is entirely independent and voluntary. I was not asked nor compensated to submit it.

So far seems sturdy, smooth and precise. I was thinking about purchasing a large video tripod. Happy I found this instead. I will be using this for the solar eclipse and for shooting birds with a fairly long telephoto and utilizing my existing tripod (currently with ball head.)The gimbal keeps the lens and camera balanced so the tripod won’t tip over with a long heavy load. The only long term concern is the plastic on the knobs. I would have paid $15-20 more for metal knobs. Time will tell on longevity. I am hopeful they will hold up for the long haul.
