Do not buy. It's a waste of money, total pile of poopy. The 1st & biggest issue I had was the threading on the touch. When attempting to screw onto gas cylinder, the threads kicked over to a 45° angle and would not straighten out causing it to chew up the threads on the gas cylinder which also made it totally unable to seal, draining all the gas, destroying the can and being completely non functional. Not only was the torch a waste of money, it also destroyed a mapp gas tank and dumped the fuel out.. and now.. I contact Amazon for a refund, which they do accept, only if I was willing to drop it off at whole foods. I did.. now, 2 days after dropping it off, I check to see if I was refunded yet, nope! After I dropped it off, the sent me a message stating they won't refund my money until after they receive my return at the return center... Which will take between 15-30 days??!!! That is the entire point of having me drop it off there! I'm extremely pissed off now! I'm considering having my bank reject the charge and cancelling my prime membership because this is total BS! And they keep getting worse!!

The electronic starter doesn't work. But it's not a bad little unit once you get it sparked up.

I like the look and functionality of this. I got it because I had bought a similar one that wasn't quite what I was expecting and had some minor (mostly cosmetic) defects and a touchy valve, yeah I was being picky. Anyway this one looks and feels much better quality and I like the coloring. The igniter button is firmly mounted in the housing and doesn't rattle around. But this is a tool, most of that is probably not entirely relevant to a lot of people. The flame is nice and easily adjustable, the valve does have a small amount of in-out play (like the other one I bought) but it's not that noticeable. It does what it's supposed to do and looks pretty cool on my new 1/4 lb refillable propane tank as a bonus. One issue I did have is that when I first got it the flame would ignite every time on the first try, as long as I had the knob in the magic range that it likes. Then after a while it was taking me 10 strikes to get it lit, and I was about to send it back for replacement. But I got to looking at it and found that the little mount to hold the igniter wire in place had melted down a bit and that seemed to affect it somehow. So with this newly found extra wire length, I just bent the wire at about a 90 degree angle to the right (when staring down it). The mount was a little offset to the left so this makes the end of it more toward the "top" of the nozzle instead of the side. If that's hard to decipher... I get it. Hopefully I remember to get a picture next time I have some good light when I'm using it.Anyway, for whatever reason that worked and I'm back in business. I'm going to keep an eye on it but crossing my fingers there won't be any more surprises there. I almost took off a star for it but it's a really minor and easily fixed problem. I'm happy enough with the rest of it that I'm really not that worried about it as long as it doesn't keep happening. After all, the options are kind of slim when you want the smallest horizontal self igniting torch head. I wish they made one like this but with a pencil flame similar to the small Worthington / Bernzomatic propane-only heads.

The auto ignition works well and way more convenient than a lighter. This also has a much larger and hotter flame than the typical brass torch head (you know the one). It made my vehicle work much easier this weekend
