I should have read the reviews. Had I did that I wouldn’t be having the problem I am having. Will not light. Can not get gas to the torch. This is a very chinsy tool. I would not recommend this item. I would give it no stars if the system would let me.

FIRE! A small torch that enables a controlled burn of weeds and more. Not great for large areas but will handle more precise burns. Works well.

Weeds in the Arizona desert are a huge issue. Even when treating with weed killer, they come back.I found this burning weeds that aren't best to me valued plants is a good way to go; they've not come back.I connect this to a large BBQ tank and it'll run forever. It's very hot due to it's flame and gets the job done.It could be a little easier to use if it was longer, but it's easy to use. It's also a lot of flame for the buck.I recommend this product m

I used this to heat up 1 1/4" black iron pipe plumbing joints in order to disassemble a gas line that needed replacement after 37 years. They weren't budging beforehand even using cheater bars. Worked like a charm after a few minutes of direct heat to the joints. But.... it has been hit or miss getting the propane to flow and get this to work. It seems to be an issue at the valve since gas was getting to that point, perhaps a check valve? UPDATE 07/24/24: Upgrading to four stars. I ended up returning the original unit since I could not get it to fire up after the first couple of successful uses. I opted for replacement rather than refund. I received the second unit and tried it out: works perfectly with both the hose connected to a propane tank and to a portable canister without the hose. I'm certain I'll come up with some additional uses for this over time. It is the perfect size to heat up old metal plumbing joints in order to break them loose.

This flamethrower is one of the most interesting tools I have ever ordered on Amazon. Not only is this torch fun to use, it offers sensible protection from harmful chemical agents. Pesticides are horrible for your health and generally bad for any animals that may end up grazing nearby after you spray. This flamethrower provides a healthier alternative to using toxic chemicals around your lawn or garden. All of this said, switching to a hot flame torch brings some safety concerns of it's own. While I thoroughly enjoy using this flamethrower, there was a long moment of pause before I started torching the weeds around my property. This was due to the notation: "More Chooses Use" on the product. I found this a little bit humorous, given the blatant failure to translate the intended slogan to English properly, but at the same time it is also a little concerning because of the inherently risky nature of caring around a canister of propane attached to 2- foot torch. From the safety perspective, I would start by saying read the instructions that are included before going crazy with this thing. In my case I attached it to a full size propane tank from underneath my grill. I used about 1/4 of my propane tank over 45 minutes of burning. The flame will tend to go out if you use a large flame that ends up creating excess carbon dioxide. The trick to it is a happy medium, probably about 2/3 of the way open on the valve, to create a nice footlong flame that will be sufficient to scorch those annoying weeds. The unit stores effortlessly, mounted on a hook in my shed, and takes up very little space.
