Easy to use, decent amount of flame, but great value. I needed to kill some grass and weeds around our gravel drive, one with a bit more btu might have been quicker but the price was right on this one. Will use it quite a bit.

I use these to melt PVC conduits for bending in my job. I have used many different models, the ones with the sparker is really convenient, but like all the others these stop working after just a few uses, this one also now has a regulator issue. I just wish I could find one of these that lasted a whole year.

Unfortunately this is only suitable for POL tanks and not for Qcc1 tanks so buyer beware as no adapter is available from my research

This weed torch is well constructed, and very effective at burning.It is a very useful weed burner, and also good for starting BBQ charcoal chimneys.Easy to assemble and use.Does the job!

Given the variety of jobs I have had over the years, I am surprised I had not used a propane torch before this year. I took a job where we had to frequently use these to thaw out water hydrants at a ski resort. We bought a few new ones that cost more than this propane torch, but they did not even have push button igniters.This torch is affordable and very easy to use. I use the same propane tanks that I use for my outdoor firepit and barbeque grill. The fitting is exactly the same for this torch. The nozzle on the end does a good job of spreading the flame out over a wider area. The igniter button is a huge plus since this means I don't have to go searching for something to generate a spark.I had planned to use this during the summer to clear out dried weeds in asphalt, but I almost immediately started using it; I used it for the first time to loosen up a mound of ice that had formed in my driveway. It melted it away very quickly. It is also handy for starting up an outdoor wood burning fireplace or a bonfire.I am pleased with this. Good quality, easy to use, and affordable.

I am a contractor and I own lots of tools, but I was very interested in trying out this "Steinbruke" branded Propane Torch with the push button igniter feature. Now, to clarify, this is not for "weed use" in my particulr case, but rather to help with some roofing work and the odd chore where this could possibly come in handy melting ice with the Winter just on the horizon.Now, I think I should preface this by also stating that this is NOT a Toy and I dont think this should ever be used around children and you should always be using caution when working with any Propane product.This unit arrives boxed and well protected for transport. I was impressed when I unboxed this for this product the first time. The device is basically ready to go and fully assembled other than connecting your Propane Source with the supplied hose. A wrench is included for tightening up the connections. The device has very good build quality and it feels more than durable enough for its intended tasks. After familiaring myself with the tool's layout, its all quite straight forward and very intuitive. You have a flow rate adjustment knob on the wand and ignition is via the push button piezo style igniter (similar to a BBQ in a way). A decent set of paper instructions are included and you can even reach out for Manufacturer phone support if required.In actual use, I got the hang of operating this in no time. In short order you will develop a feel for the trigger lever. The overall unit is not too heavy to comfortably move around with and it is relatively easy to control. This well made product certainly has the ability to crank out more than 500,000 BTUs of heat in short order. Now, again, I did not want to get this for "Weed Work", but I am making another shed and I wanted to get the hang of this kind of thing for laying down heat activiated roofing underlayment. I am debating with the idea of learning about this in order to possibly tackle reshingling my house roof.. myself next year!Following our first snow squall of the Winter in my area recently, for the heck of it, I briefly tried this with melting a patch of ICE that had formed on part of my walking during the thawing of the snow in the following days and it worked just fine!. This thing has a multitude of possible uses... and maybe I will actually use it to burn some weeds next year after the snow is gone! (haha)Overall, I am very pleased with this Steinbruke Torch. It has good build quality, works as described and is relatively easy to use. You can accoomplish a ton a varied tasks with this. The current listing price of $77.90 is reasonable considering the good quality and how well it works. I am giving this a 5 because it ending up more than exceeding my expectations.

This thing is cool. Every kid wants a flamethrower at some point in their lives (right?) and this fits the bill - you can start a roaring bonfire or campfire in less than a minute, burn out weeds in no time (do you garden? this is perfect for soil prep), or clean up the driveway. I used it to clean out an alleyway between my building and my neighbor - it made short work of the dry vines that were breaking down my concrete wall. Not only is it effective, it's fun to use! I recommend it. Oh, and a small fire extinguisher. Safety first!
