i love this bread slicer. its really easy to use. the 1cm setting is basically the same as a regular slice of store bought bread. i make 1-2 loaves of sandwich bread a week for my family, in a regular 9x5" loaf pan and the loaves always fit. i wrap my bread in paper and store it on the counter on top of this. i love how it doesn't take up a ton of room on my counter but still slices bread perfectly.

This is compact, easy to use, stores easily and washes easily. It collects crumbs for you. It allows you to pick how thick you want the bread. The Slicer is also sturdy and even if you cut into it by accident you won't damage it. I highly recommend it and even told my friend who makes bread to buy this. She has the traditional one but never uses it because of the hassle.Just make sure you have a nice sharp bread knife and follow the instructions with the downward angle of the knife.

I am a fan of Japanese tools and appliances because they are built well and serve the function. This bread slicing tool is not an exception. It’s made of a very good plastic and helps me to cut slices of even thickness.

箱から出し使用前に洗おうとして気がついたのですが裏の滑り止めが1箇所ありまでんでした。もう洗ってしまったし、3箇所あれば大丈夫かと思いそのまま使います。今までで立てた状態でパンを切ってました。どうしてもパンが潰れてしまい悩んでました。これは横にして切るので切りやすく潰れにくく使いやすい。

I have been making bread with my Hamilton Beach bread machine but my slicing skills suck. I always end up with a triangular slice that's thick on one end and thin on another. I have been looking at bread slicers but don't want a big long bamboo one or a thin cheap plastic one. This slicer ended up being a perfect solution. The plastic is sturdy and there are gripping feet so the slicer does not slip as I slice my bread. The guide has enough space so my knife does not carve into the plastic. The box and instructions were all in Japanese but I took a picture and could translate it on my phone. All the parts (the bottom, guide and sliding thickness setting tray, come apart from the main body so it's all easy to clean too. Now I want to make more bread to use this gadget!

Really wanted to like this. The design seems very sensible and I like the firmness of the horizontal positioning. And for a while I thought I must be doing something wrong. But after trying several times and making sure I've got the tray set correctly in the right grooves on both sides, and holding carefully to not distort the plastic tray, I still get slices that are wider on the end as I slice through. It cuts on a slant, with the pieces getting wider as you slice through. I also wish there was a setting for a thinner slice. Alas, waited too long past the return date.

Great compact item - seller is selling it at a huge markup as the price in Japan is 1000 -1500 Yen, approx 13 dollars.

何もなしで包丁だけで切っていた時と比較すればとてもきれいにスライスできます。洗うパーツが多いので少し面倒ですが、仕方ないですね。

This is high quality bread slicer, which is mostly easy to use. There are a lot of parts, and putting it back together is something like a puzzle... don't throw away the box and instructions just yet.The bread comes out on the thick side. The thinnest setting is 10mm (1cm), which is a little thinner than Texas toast, or about the same thickness found in restaurant sandwiches. If you want a thin Pullman type thin slice, you need to either slice a 15mm (the next setting) and use it as a spacer in the 20mm setting (results in a thin 5mm Pullman thickness), or use some other spacer to compensate. I used chopsticks, which worked pretty good and got a standard store-bought thickness.Generally speaking it is great. You set it up and then evenly slice up a loaf of bread from your bread-machine in a couple minutes. Best thing since sliced bread.

It was shipped directly from Japan, therefore it took a while to receive it. I love the design. It's really easy to use, clean, and to store. However, I'm not sure if because the knife I used was not a right one, or the way I held the bread was not correct; the slices came out uneven. I didn't see too many review on this item and no one express the same problem like me.
