A friend/waiter tried to open a bottle of wine for us and chipped the glass. So I bought this and gave it to him. The design of the first lever has tabs that have been bent over so you get a smooth surface against the glass versus straight tabs. If you get a tough cork the straight tabs can chip the glass.The second tabs are straight but the cork is loose by the time these tabs come into play. See pic.

I bought this because of the ratings but the screw bent the first time I used it. Very disappointed. It’s very difficult to use.

I have used screwpull and other "Easy to use" ones but they fall apart. And are quite a bit fussy and large to store. I now use this one - it is so smooth and controllable. Paired with a simple foilcutter it is a perfect way to open wine. And you can easily take it with you anywhere.

i mean just go ahead buy/waste your money with this toy, and then please try to open the foil of bottle without looking like a amateur while opening a bottle of wine, its embarrassing!!! a rip-off!! i wasted, got robbed $24 dollars because i bought 3 useless toys.
