I needed an easy way to get out of the gate to pick up the mail so I bought one of these and mounted it by the box. Now I can open the gate on foot from the inside. Keypad on the outside for my return.

I put the button in a key lock box at my gate and eliminated the wireless keypad and the batteries that went with it.

I just needed a simple way for cell tower employees to get into the gate. The keypads were always giving them problems but a simple button works great.

It is grey. You can push the button on it. I use it to open our gate sometimes

Bought and installed 2 of these at my gate a year ago, one as you come in and one when you go out. These replaced "door bell buttons" which really are not rain proof. Yesterday one stopped working, probably is wet from all the rain, but product is supposed to be for outdoor use. Now have to push button at a angle for it to work. Will take it off and clean with electrical cleaner tomorrow when it stops raining. Not a great rain proof design.Update: I purchased an automotive electrical contact cleaner and sprayed some into the front spaces of the button without removing the button. This spray resulted in a very copious amount of water draining out! I don't even think the contact cleaner (tri chlor) reached any electrical contacts in the button, but whatever happened, the button works flawlessly now. Maybe dirt was stuck in the back of the button preventing it from fully moving reward, but now we are OK, and maybe it works better now than when I first installed it! Raising my review from 2 to 3 Stars.

This simple wired remote button for my Mighty Mule gate opener works great. It was easy to install from the circuit panel by inserting the low voltage wire (not included) in the proper slots and tightening the wire clamps. I ran the wire to a covered area under my deck, stapled the wire discreetly under the drip ledge of my house and mounted the button to a post under the deck where it will stay dry. For years I've been carrying around a spare remote while doing yard work. I would sometimes accidentally press the button while it was in my pocket and my dogs would escape--or I would forget to get the remote and have to go inside and get it. Not any more! I also installed the remote keypad on a mounting post on the outside of my gate and it also works perfectly!

Ordered this as a back up to the transmitter/receiver system for our Mighty Mule 500. I thought about just buying a door bell button fro the local hardware store and am glad I did not. I payed less for this one and it works better than the hardware store cheap one. It was shipped as advertised and arrived on time! Great product!

Bought it to control my mighty mule gate. It is a very simple switch. Occasionally it takes a couple presses to make it work, but the design is simple enough it will never fail. It has so far held up well to about 6 months of central Texas weather.
