This worked great for me. I had a situation where if I cut off the PVC sleeve, I wouldn't have enough pipe to put another one on. This allowed me to clean out one end of the sleeve and glue a pipe into it.I made some sample pieces before I worked on the actual problem and I recommend you do so, also. Let the samples cure overnight before practicing - the glue needs to be hard before you use this tool.Once I felt comfortable using this, the work on the problem piece went quickly and was easy. It was a real job saver for me.

This paid for itself first time I used it. Works well, you need a drill with a lot of torque. Once the bit gets warm and cutting it just peels the old pipe away.

I could have saved a lot of work and plumbing fittings in the last couple of years if I bought this before. Works amazing. Don't question. Just buy it.

I bought this reamer to remove the old pipe from a joint, I didn't want to redo all the drain pipe, and redo the sheetrock. It worked as described and saved a lot of work and money. Was worth the price even if this is the only time I use it I looked at other ones but this has better reviews, they were correct, thanks!!

My father in law helps my mother in law gardening all day every day and is constantly cutting plastic pipes for the garden and for framing shade tents for the brutal Arizona sun. He was elated when we gave this to him. He showed us how much easier it was for him to be able to get garden projects done and told us this gadget has saved him the struggle of cutting pipes by hand. Now we are getting deliveries of fresh veggies as a thank you from both of them since they are so happy about how easy it is to use.

I never leave reviews- so when I do take comfort that it is honest. Works as intended, helped me out on a difficult area with no room, greased the pilot and it went in nice and easy. Probably the only time I'll use it (with any luck) good purchase.

Welll My wife used it to repipe an 1 1/2" trap drain and she said it worked well. It didn't leave any mess and was easy to handle. I'll take her word for It. If she likes it, I love it. SweetHeart Plumbing Services.

Needed it to drill out an ABS drain for a new sink. Could of used a hole saw but I only had one shot at getting it right or it would mean having to tear out the drywall and replacing more drain pipe. Figured this would be the safest bet of getting it right the first time. A little expensive for a one time use but it did the job. Took less then a minute to drill out the old glued in ABS fitting and was able to redo my plumbing for my new sink. Hopefully I can find it in 10 years when my wife is ready to redo the bathroom again.

First, do not waste time and money on the low quality solutions for saving fittings- buy a quality tool even if you need it only one time. Getting a fitting reamed incorrectly almost certainly means losing it, and then finding another place in the system to make a cust, save a fitting... I used the 1-1/2" tool several times recently, and it works as expected. A single drawback is the size of the stabilizer (the cylindrical section that fits in the pipe body to help center the cutter) as it's slightly undersized. This means the cutter is not entirely centered, can wobble, and creates a slightly oversized fitting, and as the cutter wobbles it can catch/grab the fitting and either bind or gouge the fitting. This can be managed somewhat by using a good drill (low speed!) and making sure the user can work at an orientation that allows control over the cutting. All that said, the tool worked as expected, saving the fitting and a lot of time and money.

Have not had an opportunity as of yet to use any of the pipe reamers yet, however, they appear to be well made and of a durable alloy. There are however two annoying complaints: 1) The cutting edges will all require adjustments, but the kit lacks a small, simple Allen key to perform this task. 2) The fragile storage case arrived with broken hinges. The reason for this is twofold, first, the case should be a little more robust; second, the vendor apparently is unaware of a miracle shipping product known as a cardboard box Instead, the kit came packaged in a brown paper bag. Really!!

This works well and saves me a ton of money as a bathroom renovator. Lots of uses when we want to tap into existing plumbing and to reuse an odd fitting that we didn't anticipate instead of running out to get another.

This tool got me out of a jam where there was not enough ABS pipe between fittings for me to simply cut off the old P-trap and glue on another. This tool reamed out the fitting to the correct diameter so that I could glue the new pipe in. Caution: tighten the center allen nut first... mine was slightly loose when received. Also, practice on some scrap pipe first. It takes a slow speed and a steady hand, and you only get one shot at reaming out the intended fitting.
