The device works but it is so soft you can’t hear when it’s as loud as it goes.

Works great with my wireless speaker. The BT will disconnect at the end of the tape, so it has to reconnect when you play the second side.Don’t know about the battery life. I would use the best batteries available since the drive motors will use a lot more current than you think.

I got this player a few months ago and have thoroughly enjoyed it, however there are some hitches that I did not appreciate. This is not to say that I do not like this product. It's a cassette player so it's not going to work like an ipod, however the manufacturer fails to mention that the batteries you put in (two AA's) only last a few weeks at a time before they need to be replaced. Additionally, it's not very easy to connect the player to a bluetooth speaker or earphones without shutting off the bluetooth on every previously connected device you own first.Overall, it is a fine casette player, but not for the price tag they're pushing. It's worth $20 at MOST in my opinion, mainlny because the functions which this product is marketed with (bluetooth, portability, etc.) don't actually work that well. You're better off getting something cheaper and saving your money.

I used it to listen to a set of lectures. It has no pause so you have to stop, rewind, etc and it is a pain. Nevertheless I learned its limitations and got through the lectures. Meanwhile the FF jammed and stopped working. I wrote 3 emails to the PYLE customer service over 10 days and never got any replies. Finally Amazon handled it for me. They claim to have good customer service, etc. If you get some let me know.

I had bought the Pyle cassette player to test play a run of cassette tapes I am putting out as a musician. The first thing I noticed was that the player is a very cheap feeling plastic all-around construction. The battery compartment door was even loose and rattling inside the tape compartment itself. Not a good first impression. It got worse.I popped in the test tape and immediately, I notice the speed was slightly off because everything was pitch-shifted (higher- therefore, just a bit fast). This was confirmed when I popped in another cassette tape of music I know, which I borrowed from a friend. The sound quality isn't the greatest either and sounded scratchy and tinny even in my studio headphones. One thing I'll give it is the volume control works pretty well.EDIT: The "dir" feature to play the backside of the tape at the current place works okay, and it plays tape at proper speed. If only it was calibrated well on both sides... sound quality is still tinny and scratchy ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I like the product - good weight, good size, great price, easy switch settings, works great independently with AAA batteries, works great using cable.

It's amazing how many features they packed into this tiny thing. The bluetooth part worked fine for me, both on my portable speaker and in my car. The problem is that the unit fails in its primary directive: Playing tapes. I can tolerate "thin" sound. But even brand-new cassettes sound warbly, with wavering pitch, which for me makes them unlistenable. Also, I fear for the health of the tapes themselves. Won't use it again.
