I use this timer to provide drip irrigation to the plants around my house. I had been using another timer that had only 1 zone, and there were too many plants over too great a distance to successfully deliver water to them all. It was really easy to replace that time with this one. I simply put cut my irrigation line at the nearest tee and made one side of the tee zone 1 and the other side zone 2. The plants are closer on zone 1, so I run a small diameter water line from the timer (adaptor, hose and drip emitters sold separately). The other zone starts around the corner from the hose spigot, so I connected a short length of garden hose to the timer and reduced it down to the drip line with another adaptor at the end of the hose. The timer has a digital display, so it's easy to set the time and program the zones using the clearly marked control buttons. You have lots of control programing time of day, frequency and duration. It's better to run the two zones at different times so you have optimum water pressure for each zone.

I've never used a programmable timer for my garden but watering is starting to get overwhelming so I decided to give it a try. This was really easy to set up and program. I tested it out on manual and it works well with both zones on or one at a time. It doesn't have a days if the week schedule, but it can schedule to water every certain number of days. It set up easily and no leaks so far. Takes 2 AAA batteries. I like the brass connector over a plastic one, it seems more durable.

I can tell that this Sprinkler Timer is far superior to others I purchased in the past. No leaks and comes with a 5 year warranty.

Simple setup, design that blends in, and works well, as expected in combination with watering hoses. Good value for the time it saves with watering gardens or landscaping vs manually spraying / watering with a hose. Operation is simple, and it comes with instructions... so overall, it's nice to have to make consistent gardening/watering easier. So far so good, if anything goes bad I'll update my review. So far, recommended.

2 Zone water timer which works as expected. The top connection is brass, however the bottom two are made of plastic (which is the only downside of this unit). Need to be careful not to overtighten the bottom ones, to ensure they don't break and leak.It requires 2 AAA batteries to operate (which are not included).Very simple and intuitive to setup. And the display is nice and large. It is still a little too cold to test outdoors, but I tested it quickly using the laundry room faucet, and it works as epected. As mentioned by others, it is pretty instant on/off (no soft open, close). But it will save me time in the summer with my vegetable garden.

I am impressed by the sturdy construction of this RAINPOINT water timer. Heavy duty plastic body, solid brass connections, and a decent weight give me confidence that this will stand up to the weather and provide years of good service.I don't have complicated watering needs, but I do want to create the capacity to attach two garden hoses to a central water source so that I don't need to keep moving a single hose from back to front of the house on a recurring basis. This timer is perfect for that need. What is also perfect is the simple selection process provided. Simply a turn of the dial to your preferred times and days of watering for each zone and you're all set. Or if you don't wish to use the timing mechanisms, the unit can be operated on a manual over-ride basis as just a standard outlet. I will probably be using that feature quite a bit, as my current needs are, as I said, quite simple.I also appreciate the LARGE lettering used on the selection and display panels. Very handy for those whose eyesight isn't perhaps what it once was. The digital display is bright and easily readable although I have had problems with digital readouts in the past as the legibility can be washed out in certain lighting conditions, especially as the unit ages. Fingers crossed that problem holds off for an extended period. While I was looking into these timers, I noticed that other reviewers had been using them on a drip-based watering system where the timing options will be invaluable, and make watering both more effective and more reliable. Now that I have this RAINPOINT timer, I am very interested in investigating this option. An unexpected but welcome bonus.

My formal garden is a maze of irrigation and I use about 10 different water timers during each watering day. Being able to set up two watering schedules from one device is very helpful when there are that many water timers involved. This timer is easy to program, and if you have a problem, the included User Manual is well written and covers everything you need to know. It is well made; I find RainPoint is a reliably good brand. My watering tasks are always going to be complicated but using water timers such as this one, the task is much more efficient, no overwatering because I got distracted. I highly recommend the RainPoint brand.

These days if you can't automatically control things like watering is a very good thing to have I don't know about you but I have forgot to water my plants for a day or so at a time and after awhile it will start affecting your plants so if you can give the plants the exact amount of watts that they need when needed you can set it where it drips a little bit each time like if they were experiencing rain in the evening and combine it with a fogger and the plants will love you back in use a tent to grow all my sprouts in here and where im at in the great country of ours we have a short summer hot and wonderful but some plants need a little more time so I start them into at the end of the month and then I can plant the second week of April and using timers is essential and this one seems to be working perfectly so I can't complain it's made my life better already

The splitter works well and will be put to great use. The only reason I take away one star is because the customization is limited on the timers for new lawn seed specifically. I have two spiggots and 8 different zones so im using two of these. When i want to water multiple times a day, i would prefer to be able to choose specific times rather than "every 8 hours"... for example id rather water at say 6 in the morning, then noon, then 7 in the evening, thus concentrating the waterings during the daytime. However with 8 zones and only two able to run at a time (one zone on each unit) some of the grass will be watered in the very early morning or later at night with the "every 8 hours" option.A previous model I had of this same brand, but with 2 outputs, was able to specify certain times to water times, so I would like to see that on this as well. But some people may prefer the simplicity of the current setup.

I picked up this water timer after my old one finally gave out, and I’ve been pretty happy with it so far. It feels well-made overall, with a pretty straightforward setup process. Everything is clearly labeled, and the interface is simple enough that I didn’t even need to look at the instructions more than once.It runs on a couple of AAA batteries, which makes the display easy to power and eliminates the need for any wiring. The screen itself is large and bright enough to see easily, even in full sunlight, which I really appreciate when I’m out there fiddling with it in the middle of the day.The dual-zone feature is super convenient since I can run two separate watering schedules without having to swap hoses or reprogram anything. The only thing I noticed is that there's a brief pause when it starts up. The first couple times it happened, I thought it wasn’t working, but it kicks in after a second or two. Just something to keep in mind. Also worth noting - there’s no gradual open/close when the water turns on or off. It’s more of a sudden switch, which can sometimes cause that little jolt in the pipes, but it’s not a dealbreaker.Overall, it does the job well and has made keeping the garden watered a lot easier. I’d recommend it if you want a decent, reliable timer without spending a fortune.

This is an awesome sprinkler. Easy to program. I like having the dial to easily turn it off if you want. Customer service is the best. I was missing the parts package and the sent a whole new sprinkler out to me. Great company.
