I recently had surgery on my abdomen and chest. I needed some thing that could fit over the toilet that was easy for me to sit on to be able to get up and down. This is been a complete lifesaver and so easy for me to be able to make it to the bathroom! It also has a pop off section for a seat which has been great so I’ve been able to sit down on it and brush my teeth and take it around the bathroom as needed. It has a shower chair for me! 100% recommend.

At first I was impressed with the comfort of the padded seat . Then it was brought to my attention that the seams are letting go on both sides of padded . Now what ?? I’m going to call customer service for how to proceed

Needed this after TKR, nicely adjustable, fit well over toilet, some might enjoy the padded seat. Easy clean.

While the product is good for its purpose, it’s not for heavy people. I found that when I sat on it, I would be unable to clean myself without standing up. I liked the sides that can help you raise yourself up but they prohibit a heavy person from being able to manage cleanup. Will be returning it.*UPDATE* I should’ve kept it. While I liked the other toilet riser I got, it doesn’t have grip bars like this one. I had a very humbling experience of not being able to get myself off of the toilet the day after my knee replacement surgery. I believe I would have with this riser. Yes, you have to stand to wipe in order to manage cleaning yourself, but the dignity of being able to got to the toilet on my own without someone having to pull me up (and I ain’t a little gal) is totally worth it. So I’ve changed my rating from ⭐️ to ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. The good thing about this riser is that you can break it down for storage until you need it again. So this product is excellent for post surgery or folks with disabilities. Thank you

So on top of dealing with a husband who is pretty immobile right now and in tremendous pain, I ordered this thing so he can use the toilet in some relative comfort. It came quickly but there aren't any instructions on how this thing goes together. Seriously? I'm not the best at this stuff and it would have been really helpful. Kinda p'od, this isn't what I needed right now. I should have been able to open the darn box, read the instructions and put the darn thing together. But, nope.

Not sure it's the best long term choice for those in need. But for recovery or those on a budget it seems ideal. It's much less expensive than commercial units and it's well designed and made. With plenty of adjustment.Comes well packaged and is comfortable and sturdy, with rubber feet.Very good assembly instructions.I considered a less expensive riser that sat on top of the toilet bowl, but didn't like the stability and the possibility of damaging my excellent Kohler Cimmaron toilets. So, I chose a free standing unit. You may need to take the toilet seat and cover off of your toilet for the best fit (as I did), but I find I can use it either way.
