I absolutely love the look of this item and the look it helps give to my car. However, I'm not sure how much I'd trust this as an actual tow strap. It seems to be made of simple fabric, not something that can withstand the pull of a towing exercise. But, I've not used it as a to strap so who knows. Though the metal mount bracket is of good quality as is the "construction" of the piece itself.What I can tell you is that the item has lost color quite a bit and did so in only about four or five months time. The pattern is still very visible, but the vibrancy of the colors used has faded dramatically.
