The pump barely made it 2 months of running. Cheap, no name pump. Otherwise everything else is working as advertised. They need to address the pump issues as this isn’t the only review saying it has quit.

The set up was incredibly easy. Didn't run into a single issue with installation or leaking problems. Plenty of tubing. I'm extremely satisfied with my RDWC system

This is a real Rube-Goldberg setup:There is no way to make a neat setup. There are tubes running everywhere and once you install it is difficult to make any changes. It is difficult to assemble and even worse to dissemble. Once it is running is is not easy to keep the water level as you want it. The whole thing is poorly thought out and does not work that well.

I was a bit apprehensive about buying this product for 1 big reason (reported leaks) and a small one (poor instructions). I found if you take your time and review both sides of the instruction sheet (which has a total of 3 steps) and you look over both diagrams, figuring out how to connect it is not difficult. Just take your time and develop a mental plan for assembly.Regarding leaks - I have had zero leaks and I don't anticipate I will see any. Again, if you follow the advice ,use hot water to soften the tubes to attach them to the valves, etc. you should not have any problems either.

Instructions were pretty useless, so look for videos for assembly. I recommend laying out the buckets where you plan them to be before sizing tubes. The reservoir bucket's white valve had a small drip leak just as most other people's did; I wrapped the leak with pipe thread and e-tape which held it back until water residue healed it. Still not confident in the valve, but it's been dry since. It's not the cheapest RDWC kit, but it works and the all-black plastic keeps out light, where as the cheaper kits have translucent plastic that allow light leaks leading to problems. Set-up took a couple hours.Biggest CON: No dump valve to empty/change the water. There was an extra valve included, but not a hole drilled... Didn't realize this was a problem until after it was running. Not a game changer though.Biggest PRO: It worked as it should. It's plastic buckets and hoses, not rocket science.

The water pump, water splitter and terminator all have 3/8" hookups, but I got 2 reels of 1/4" hose. They are different lengths, or I would assume I got 2 air hoses. I do need 1/4" water hose for the splitter outputs, but it is definitely a 3/8" input. I got some 3/8" hose from a hardware store, and it fits perfectly. It also perfectly fits the grommet that goes in the side of the bucket for the hose between the pumps and splitter. So it is possible I am missing parts. The parts list labels 2 hoses as air hoses, but the only other hose I got was the 1/2" that is used for the return hose, and it does not fit these parts, either. It works really well, despite the missing hose. I was able to easily buy 2 feet of 3/8" hose, which is working well as a replacement. The whole system, once assembled, is leak-free and working well.
