Works well after you learn how to use it.

The scanner works great, I'm loving it, but I sprung for the advanced package that comes with a bluetooth connected tilting turn table. In every video I've seen and on their product pages I've looked at, it comes with markers on the surface all round the open screw holes, mine did not, meaning I'll need to put my own markers down, also it came with an "attachable table with markers" (as its called in the manual) which is the floppy circular mat in the pictures. This does not "attach" at all, it has a smooth bottom surface that slides right off the top of the table when it tilts, and I have tried picking at every inch of the outer edge incase its a sticker and I need to peel off a plastic cover, it is not, it is a slick bottomed mat that doesnt attach to anything. My other grip is that the table connects to the laptop via bluetooth and the software sees it and has a manual settings window for turning the table and the tilt. its all manual, the software doesnt automate the tilting or turning at all during scanning, even though all the controls are built into the software. Since this is an accessory I'm only dropping the review 1 star because the Revo pop 3 itself is great, but paying extra for the advanced retarded turn table is not great

Have to spend so much time editing in software after scanning. Also does a horrible job scanning anything that is colored black or anything that has gaps/spacing/holes. There's almost always floating polygons in every scan and smoothing/filling holes causes loss of detail and irregularities. Scanning multiple times or scanning too long seems to make the model worse. Scanning by hand is nothing like they show in their promo videos and generates an even worse rendering.

The Revopoint POP 3 scanner is a great buy. Accurate scans of medium to small objects which can then be rendered with most entry level 3D printers.The dual axis turntable that comes with the advanced package makes it easier to capture and thus create/recreate many objects with surprising accuracy given the small size of this scanner!The customer support that I interacted with before making my purchase was very helpful and knowledgeable. Positive experience allround!

Perfect for 3d printing enthusiasts - you can scan physical objects and make perfect copies of them with your 3d printer. There is a fair bit of work involved and something of a learning curve, but the results are well worth it.

I had high hopes for this scanner but found it very awkward and if you can get a successful scan you will spend the next couple hours repairing the scan and the definition just isn't there yet.
