This is a great sander and it works BUT BUYER BEWARE they advertise the Ridgid lifetime warranty but since your not buying it from Home Depot you are not eligible for it so it's kinda false advertisement. So 5 stars for Ridgid minus 2 stars for the seller.

This is a little powerhouse of a sander. Can use it for long periods without it getting too heated. The attached vacuum works really well for catching all those fine dust particles. Would for sure recommend this sander.

So far, so good, although I burned out the motor on the cabled version of this, (confession) no doubt in part due to sanding drywall, including fast-set plaster, which is very corrosive.The vacuum port of this guy hooked up to a shop vac actually works, compared to other brands (Milwaukee, you listening?). It's all about sanding drywall!Now, if they would just come up with a corner-cat shaped, cordless reciprocating/jitter-bug version with working vacuum port (Rigid, you listening?)!Ryobi has the cordless corner cat, but it does not have a vacuum port, although their cabled version does (Ryobi, you listening?)! Its all about sanding drywall! Did I say that yet?
