We did our research and the chicken run door came highly rated. We have been using ours now for 2 years and not a single issue. We change the batteries every season and all is great. If I was to see any issues sometimes I have trouble setting the door to open and close at different times. I can get it on the first go and then next time ( it's usually been awhile) I fiddle to get it to go. Most people let it open and close with the preset 20min after sunrise and 20mins after sunset. I will definitely purchase another one or two. My only wish is they were a bit less expensive. Of course you get what you pay for. Highly recommend for someone looking for a secure reliable door system.👍👍

I love love love this thing. I am not a morning person… like at all. I love having chickens but it was always a pain to have to wake up and let them out. The door can be set to open and close whenever you want it to. This means I can take my time getting up in the morning. Its really perfect for when I need to take a weekend away. I won’t lie, I had a contractor install it for me because I have no skills whatsoever, but for me it was worth it and I assume that if anybody has any handy skills whatsoever, it would be pretty easy to put in. (That’s what my contractor said but he might have just been trying to make me feel better).😉The app works great on my smart phone so you can change the time. We’ve had it for a few months now and it has worked great. If you have chickens, this is the door you want.

A differenza di quello precedentemente acquistato, funziona benissimo automaticamente. Ritengo che le altre possibilità di impostazione che ha siano completamente inutili

I absolutely love this automatic chicken run door! It works based on sunlight, which means I don’t have to worry about manually opening and closing it every day. The door automatically opens with the sunrise and closes at dusk, keeping my chickens safe inside at night. The programming feature is fantastic, too—I was able to adjust the times to make sure the door opens and closes exactly when I need it. It’s great for peace of mind, especially when I’m away or busy. The door is sturdy and easy to install. It has worked flawlessly since I set it up, and I haven’t had any issues with it.Overall, this is a game-changer for anyone with a chicken run, and it’s one less thing to worry about when it comes to managing my flock. Highly recommend it!

I love this door and company so much! This is the third door I’ve ordered so all my coops have Run Chicken doors now (yes, three coops - chicken math got a little out of hand). I bought my first door a year after my friend got one and was delighted with it.FREEDOM FOR YOU. PROTECTION FOR YOUR FLOCK. One of the challenging parts about being a chicken tender, is making sure all the chickens are tucked in at bedtime to protect them from predators. We have raccoons, coyotes, minks, hawks, eagles, owls, etc. I lost my sweetest hen to a raccoon the night I was late getting home before I got my Run Chicken doors. Now I have the peace of mind if I can’t get home before dark. I live in the PNW, so it gets dark here at 430pm during the winter. There are light sensors if you want the doors to open and close with the sun. I haven’t had any issues with the light sensor, even on the darkest days in the winter when it feels like the sun never even woke up that day.You can also program it to open/close at specific times. My silkies are always last to bed, so I set their door to close a little later.SAVE $ ON CHICKEN SITTERS. If you ever want to go on vacation, this door will pay for itself in what you’d pay for chickensitters! Now I just need someone to come every couple of days to refill water and food and make sure everyone is doing ok instead of needing someone to come over 2x day let out/feed and bedtime tuck-in.SAFE FOR CHICKENS. (Even the not-so-smart ones like my “special” Karen). The door won’t shut on your chickens and has safety features so nobody will get crushed in the door.EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE! The customer support for these doors is fantastic. They’re very responsive and absolutely take care of you and answer any questions. I just had one door that started acting a little weird. I emailed them and sent them videos and photos. They replaced the door free of charge and it arrived in just 3 days!I make sure and replace the batteries before winter, and other than that, that’s really all the upkeep they need. It’s ridiculously easy to install.I cannot recommend these doors and the company highly enough!!! If you’ve been on the fence about getting one, just do it!

I waited 6 months to write a review of this Run-Chicken door. I can honestly say that this door has been an absolute life changer! We spend our summer weekends away from home and I no longer have to bother family members or neighbors to lock up our chickens at night. In Ohio we get our fair share of rain and snow. For that reason, I installed the door on the INSIDE of the coop to keep it out of the elements and {hopefully} prolong the life of the door. My coop has windows which I keep open in good weather, so even with the door mounted on the inside, it still senses the sunrise and sunset and goes up and down accordingly. (The door is factory programmed to go up at sunrise and down at sunset). This works PERFECT for mid-April through September where we live. However, once the weather turns cooler, and the coop windows are closed for the winter, the sensor understandably gets confused and will open/shut at odd times. But have no fear - there is a workaround for this!Knowing this sensor can also be programmed to go up and down at specific times, I read thru the instructions included with the door. The timer on this door is not like a “normal” timer - meaning you can’t numerically set the hour or minute that you want the coop to close (ie 8:00 pm). I tried following the instructions but they weren’t helpful to me. So I’m here to provide a few programming tips…Remember these tips are for those who need to program times other than the “dawn to dusk” factory settings.I will start by saying that it might take a few days to MANUALLY adjust the time and get it set to the right times. With that being said, IMO you should plan to be home, close to the coop for a few days until you get the programming kinks worked out. Don’t just assume you can install the door and leave for vacation the next day and everything will be fine. Eventually it will be, but probably not the first time you program it.So, here’s what you do….at the time you want the door to OPEN you must be near the coop. Press and hold the button on the bottom of the timer and wait for it to turn solid GREEN. When it turns green, let go and hit the button one more time. It makes a musical sound if programmed correctly (not just a beep). For the manual CLOSE once again - you must be near the coop. Press and hold the button until the RED light appears. When it turns solid RED, let go and hit the button one more time. It should make another musical sound if programmed correctly. **Remove the batteries from the timer if you wish to reset the programming. I did this numerous times until I was confident in my programming ability 😂Another piece of advice…the best thing I did to figure out the programming was to put batteries in the black timer box, set it on my desk and play with the up/down button until I figured out exactly how to program. That way, you don’t have to keep unscrewing/removing the timer box from the door once it’s mounted in order to do a manual reset. You could actually do this for a few days before installing the door so that you know exactly how the timer works and how to program. For the reviews on here that mention poor battery life…this unit takes TWO (2) AA batteries which run about .65 cents a piece. If you cannot afford spending $1.30 for batteries every 6 months for something that protects your flock, then you probably shouldn’t be buying this Run-Chicken door. I have had the same batteries installed for 6 months. Just tested them last week and they are still fully charged…so I’m guessing I will get another 2-3 months in cold weather - that means I will get 9 months use out of mine. Honestly I wouldn’t mind paying $1.30 every month…that’s how much I love this door. What color of door is best? It’s really a personal preference. I bought the red door. Because of the bright, bold color, it is super easy to look out my back window and see that it is up or down. I wouldn’t be able to see it as easily if it was a neutral color (especially with it being mounted on the inside of the coop)…just my own personal preference.Hope this info was helpful & I hope you enjoy your automatic door as much as I do!
