Must pull straight back. Be able to lift to release. I wanted to route with pulleys. This won't work with that. Works great for raising and lowering an 8lbs anchor. Holds until next drop. Easy installation.

It's durable, it's simple, it's practical. Follow the directions on the package, and it works flawlessly every time. Don't try to use it on your 50' yacht, it's for your canoe or 20' bass boat. Use it for the right sized boat, and you'll be happy as a clam.

Likes : lightweight, very easy to install , works fantastic !Dislike: the only thing I can think of to make this a better package is to supply the 3. 1/4 20 x 3 1/2"Stainless Steel bolts. I could not source them in my city surprisingly and went to 3 local hardware stores..

This is the best anchor system I have ever used. Its self locking, its really super rugged and well made, high quality. Just make sure to buy yourself stainless steel screws or bolts to install it. Impressed how it kept the anchor line locked in place without slipping one bit, even in a heavy rough wave. This is my go too anchor system from now on.

I really like the low profile and light weight. Worked perfect for a recent river fishing trip, used the anchor many times, the anchor lock worked flawlessly.
