Swapped out my steel line for this braided line. Very satisfied. No hum whatsoever, more than strong enough for my 8lb Down rigger weights. Can’t believe I didn’t do this sooner.

Pros: Gets rid of 95% of the obnoxious 'hum' that wire line creates. Super durable as well.Cons: I have it mounted on a manual Cannon downrigger; The line is obviously very thin, so it slips off of the pulley/wheel that counts depth..I've disassembled and put it back on the pulley but it always manages to pop off again within a few hours. The braided line is running over the plastic 'axle' of the pulley, which seems to be ok but hopefully isn't causing additional wear.

Changed out my stainless lines because I could never get all the hums in tune. Very annoying. Very simple to change. If you can change the line on a fishing rod, you can do this. I see several comments that there are no instructions... If you need instructions on how to tie 2 fishing knots, you probably should learn that first. A uni knot at the spool, a palomar at the clip, you are good to go.According to my line counter, this had a bit of extra line. Don't know what happened with the guys that said they were shorted line. Maybe they bumped the line counter or didn't spool the line tight.Very happy with the line.

I changed out the steel cable on my new downrigger to this braided line based on several video recommendations. Nicely made line.
