Closely related to the Morning Glory, it’s leaves are heart shaped and it’s vines grow to a mature length of 8 to 10 feet long. Grow Moonflower to cover a fence or trellis for delightful blooms that will begin to open in the evening hours of the day.

Without realizing it i pulled up my sister's moon flower plant from a planter. We put our huge planters in the garage in the colder months, pull back out in the spring. Some planters appear to be just soil. After a month or so little sprouts will begin popping up. The winter of 2023 took out plants that have come back for more than 20 yrs. Spring of 2024 we had multiple pots where nothing came back. I spent lots of money at the nursery buying plants. My sister mentioned her moon floor had began coming back. I had not only planted over it but thought the little leaves were weeds. She tried taking cuttings from another plant only for it to die. I saw these seeds & thought wth it's worth a try. I followed the directions, even watched a shirt yt video. In no time I had a vine large enough to put on a trellis. I could use a larger trellis. I believe I planted about 10 seeds. The flowers themselves didn't start for quite awhile but they did eventually bloom late in the evening when the sun was no longer hitting them. It began with 1 bloom, now I hv up to 4 or 5 with new buds everywhere. Theyre tricky since you don't see them in the daylight. For $7, these seeds were well worth it. This isva vine not a bush

I love moon flowers and recommend the amazing moon flower vine to every gardener but most of these didn't sprout. I usually have a really high percentage of seeds that sprout. I use the lights and the warming pads, but I just didn't have much luck with these. The bag had large and smaller seeds and NONE of the smaller ones sprouted.

I started some indoors and only one came up and then it just fizzled away. So I planted some outside and none came up. I have a half a package left. I'll try again next year using the cutting the seed method others had suggested. Not giving up.

The came when expected and were fresh. I have bought seeds from the store before and they were dead. Nothing ever grew. I planted these then 3 days later they started sprouting. Love this plant, it is so pretty at night and smells so sweet!

I got these a little late in the season but still wanted to plant them to see how they did at my house in zone 5-6. I gouged each seed with a steak knife and soaked in water for a day. Then put the seeds in peat pellets, a few seeds in each. Pellets went in a covered plastic tray on a seedling warming pad. Once roots showed through the peat I hardened off for a few days and transplanted direct to soil. Had 100 percent germinate and grow very nice blooms. They climbed about 10 feet of lattice and filled in nicely. Inwiukd recommend these

I planted a large number of this plant in my yard using seeds from a different company. That was several months ago, and so far, I have had one Moon Flower vine grow. These were planted in MiracleGro and watered regularly. After it was clear that the other ones were not going to grow, I ordered these seeds. I already had pots with good soil in them so it was no trouble to plant seeds where the others did not grow.So far, most of the seeds germinated right away. Moon Flowers tend to take some time to grow into vines and then produce those wonderful large blooms. I'm not sure if there is enough warm weather left in the summer to see whether or not these will produce the blooms. But the seeds germinated. I'll update if there is any news of them blooming.

Germination rate is garbage. Out of all of the seeds 6 germinated & only 2 grew to vine, only 1 flowered VERY late in the season. Not worth the gamble if you’re looking for gardening bargains. Better off at a seed swap than buying these. I don’t like leaving negative reviews but I HATE wasting money so to help prevent others trying to beautify their gardens, here I am to warn you. W/ a less than. 1% germination rate (soaked, nicked, not; didn’t matter!), I don’t care if these are sold for 5¢; it’s a waste & frustrating if you have plans & have to run around trying to find replacements. Sorry, folks, but this “bargain” isn’t worth it.
