I’m not sure of the mechanics of this, but these don’t kick around and get askew when he’s starting to drill like wood drill bits often do. There’s usually lots of cursing and sideways drill movement involved. Not so with these. He’s only used them on concrete blocks so far, but I watched and was totally impressed. I’ve been waiting for years for our bathroom hardware (towel racks) to be installed in our master bathroom— I’m going to have him do some trial runs on spare tiles and see if these work as well on tile as they do on concrete. If they do, I’ll have some towel bars in my bathroom!He likes the neat little case they come in, too. Good design, well executed.

This drill bit set has been surprisingly good for the price. The serrated edges cut through concrete and tile easily, and they don’t dull too quickly like some cheaper sets.They work well in a standard drill, but if you’re working with super hard materials, using them in a hammer drill makes a huge difference. If you need a versatile set of masonry bits that can handle concrete, glass, and hard plastic, these are a great value.

I have yet to try these on tile, glass or hard plastic but they worked great on concrete and cinder blocks. The triangular serrated bit helps you drill a more accurate hole compared to a standard masonry bit with its flat rectangular tip.They worked great for drilling holes in an exterior cinder block wall where I had to install anchors for mounting a sign.I also like the fact that all eight bits fit inside a nice, space saving, soft plastic case which screws together tightly so you can throw it in your tool box without worrying that it will come apart.

This Drill bit set comes inside a nifty little blue screw on top lid cylinder. With the widened serrated tips these have you are able to use a smaller drill bit than you would from a normal regular drill bit where the bit is the same diameter from top to bottom. I find myself using these one's in a smaller size due to the widened tip's. These bit's are great fkr drilling wood and plastic. I have not tried them on metal yet but may do so eventually.
