Found the install of the mater link to be pretty challenging, even with a full suite of chain tools. Not sure if this is a legit Shimano chain (I know there are a lot of fakes out there) but it does seem compatible with my daughter's 7 speed drivetrain

It’s a shimano chain, so it worked well and easy install. Not much more to say.

Was successful installing the master link by bending the back of the master link (to make the front smaller) and installed 2 chains in a few minutes. Thanks for the great product.

Replaced my worn and stretched chain - it works and shifts better than the old one did. It took a bit of force to connect the links, but I did it with some pliers. I don't know about the durability, but I am guessing I'll wear it out or stretch it eventually.

I tried to save a few bucks and bought 2 chains from other brands. One was too thick and I got chain rub when I shouldn't have, even though the specs we the same as this Shimano chain. The other brand came pre "stretched" and it rubbed a little too. Bit the bullet and paid the extra $6 and have had zero issues with this Shimano chain. In fact, it works better than the non-shimano chain my bike came with, which would also rub in certain gears. Super frustrating to not be able to adjust out chain rub and not know why, thinking there is something wrong with your new bike. Well, it was the chain, all three of the non-shimano chains made my drivetrain under perform. I have an entry level road bike from Giant with a cheap Claris group set, which performs great now. I've got well over 1,000 miles aon this new chain and it has hardly "stretched". Unlike some reviews, I had no problem installing shimanos missing link. I just followed the instructions and had the link together on the first try.Do yourself a favor and don't try to save a few bucks, just buy the Shimano chain to go with your Shimano drivetrain.

Chain as advertised. You may need to remove extra links to get the size right. It includes a single quick link but it was harder to install than the style I'm used to on my 11spd bike. After about 10 minutes, I finally got it to pop into place.
