My bike came with an FSA crankset. The FSA set was suitable. But when I wanted to change to shorter crank arms I decided to get the Shimano Sora crankset and bottom bracket. This was preferable since my gear set was already Shimano Sora.The Sora bottom bracket and crankset is definitely smoother to use and feels solidly reliable. If your bike comes with off brand components that’s fine, but I would suggest upgrading to higher end components if or when you can afford it. The drivetrain is so important to the reliability, stability, and efficiency of your bike.

huge difference from the FSA Tempo crank set I had. My ride feels a lot smoother with the upgrade of the bottom bracket shimano BBR60 and this crankset.
