Bought this for squirrel and upland hunting. Works very well and keeps muzzle in a safe direction while you walk. Saves your arm and shoulder muscles too.

I used this on a 5 day Grouse hunt in New Hampshire. Came in handy while hiking miles a day in New Hampshire woods in search of Grouse.

Definitely a great device to displace the weight of the shotgun carried more or less at the ready over distance. Great for hunters who didn’t get their cardio in over the summer (like me) or hunters with cardiovascular problems or injuries (like shoulder issues).

This isn't super effective for skeet, trap, or sporting clays if you have a double barrel since you carry it with the action open and over a shoulder. This is good for semi-autos since you can use this rest to displace the weight of the gun. That is a good thing if you are carrying or shooting for a while. Shotguns can get heavy after a lot of shooting. This is great for hunting. Your shotgun is in a safe direction and ready to shoot when you need it. I can get a semi-auto off this rest a lot quicker than pulling a shotgun around with a sling. Personal preferences and training aside, this helps a lot when carrying for a while.

You have to know you need something like this for it to be at all helpfulif you're wondering if you might you don'tThe difference between using the shotgun rest and simply resting the butt of my weapon on one of the horizontal straps of my binocular harness was negligible.I'm hoping to repurpose it to secure my shotgun to the back of the passenger seat while I am scoutingIt would be a helpful design improvement if the holster could also be attached to an existing belt

if you are going to be walking around in a field, the woods or on a sporting clay course for an extended period of time, this is a super handy thing to have, really take a load off, literally

This is a good and functional strap. My boyfriend was glad that he has this when he went hunting. It support the weight of the rifle, it’s comfortable on the shoulder. The strap is made of good quality material, well sewn. It is also adjustable to any size. Good value for the money.
