I'm using these for kids to ring for a song about Christmas bells. The only reason for the 4* rather than 5* is that the metal band around the base of one bell is only 2/3 there--it won't affect its ringing, so I'm not returning them, but it's a noticeable flaw. Also, each bell is a slightly different pitch and enough off that they certainly don't make a melodic harmony! Not a problem, again, for what I'm using them for--clanging of bells at Christmas--but would be a problem if you were using them as a kid's musical instrument. Overall I'm very happy with them. They a perfect size for small hands to use, too.
