I had used a 2G tracker in my fathers car (he has dementia and has gone on long roadtrips in the past!). I decided to try this one as it claims 4G and ability to listen in via a microphone.Overall installation was straightfoward. I had a fuse piggybacking the car radio. A problem I had was a good earth connection. I suggest anyone installing this, first set it up as powered directly from the car battery.Send the configuration codes by SMS. Change the passcode so nobody else can log in.The remote listen feature works by sending 66 as a text message. After about 20 seconds the tracker phones your number back, and you can listen live to the interior of the car.A couple of negatives: The App only gives distances in kilometres. That's a bit of a shame for those of using miles. Although it;s not a show stopper.The microphone feature works well, although you have to listen live. It would be great if a future version had a microSD card which recorded sound, and then could be downloaded via the app at a later time.

Pros:when it worked, it worked wellCons:When it didn't work. It was terrible.I got into an accident and thought I could refer to the device for information leading up to the crash.It gave me info like that before. In fact it records travel, speed, parked time. Pretty decent... When it worked. Here's my story.Instructions for setup are not the clearest, and when I finally got the GPS and network signal to stabilize. It went offline and I had to play technical mechanic for 5 DAYS...... I still don't know what I did to get it online.Emailed customer support and they responded pretty quickly. But it was like they didn't even know their own product. She told me to get a new sim. But the sim I was using was just purchased specifically for this device.It worked well for about 4 more days...and then suddenly stopped working with the app. The GPS work fine when I texted the command. And shock alarms were good. But what I really needed especially leading up to the day of the accident was the travel report.I am disappointed. I got it for a reason and it proved unreliable. It was not free or easy to get it to me, so to send it back is out of the question.It is a loss for me.

First, I have not installed this device yet, my car has been in the shop. However the package that came is pretty comprehensive and contained everything needed. The only complaint is the type is too small and there should be an online version for the optically challenged. I also wish it was more waterproof since I will install in the rear of my pickup. If there are any issues that crop up I will amend this review.

Finally a GPS tracker that will work on the AT&T network! Just received this today so I can't speak to reliability yet. This replaced a TK103 that stopped working recently presumably because 2G service was dropped in my area. I was leery purchasing a unit with no reviews but I am so happy so far that I wanted to ease others minds that were considering this. No monitoring service is required. I would assume it would work with H2O wireless since it is working with an at&t sim card. Directions suck as usual with these Chinese trackers, but they are not impossible to figure out especially if you have used the tk103's in the past. The SMS commands are very different from tk103 so pay attention, but work very well. The coolest gimmick feature: you can send it a text, the unit will CALL you back, and you can listen to what is going on! Cheating spouses and naughty teenagers beware! I highly recommend this tracker.
