So far I have used it to quickly grate cheese but it worked great! Can't wait to use it for Carrot/Cabbage salad, Cucumber salad and more! Love this shredder.

Easyly installed and removed from our mixer. Quickly slices and grates my vegetables and cheese saving time while preparing meals. Cleaning is easy but be careful handling the cutters as they are sharp. The size is a little smaller than I expected but it still works just fine. Good item.

When my salad shooter of 10 years finally cracked and I saw new ones going for over fifty bucks, I decided to check out other options like this. Don't get me wrong, the salad shooter was a fine product and grated blocks of cheese for a decade. New model didn't impress and saw replacement shredder inserts selling alot telling me they break easier now. So all metal is the way to go, it's just thick enough to hopefully last. The added power of your kitchenaid tears through everything as you would expect. Cleans up easily under the tap or top rack dishwasher. I have a large plastic "food processor" kitchenaide attachment that cubes and grates, but it's a lot more work to setup and clean, this is super easy to use and cleanup and results for everything so far has been fine.

Love, love, love this attachment. It attaches easily and well; also easy to take apart and throw in the dishwasher. The only downside for me is the design of the drum or barrel (whatever it's called). I think it would work more smoothly if this part was cone-shaped so the food could fall out on its own. Now I either stop it to scrape and shake it out or else I tip the machine forward while it's running.

I would gladly pay more for more stout blade attachments. What's supplied are flimsy and cheap / low quality. A firm Gruyere always makes shredder it's b1tc#. It wouldn't have been much more for taking the extra step for quality.

Stainless steel, easy to install and fits Kitchen Aid well, works like a charm. Taking apart and cleaning is also a breeze. This should last for a long time. Very pleased with the purchase.

Absolutely the best Shredder. We bought this to replace our old one and it works so much better. The metal parts are super sharp and fast. We love it.

I bought this FavorKit Slicer/Shredder Attachment L82201 for the KitchenAid Stand Mixer, and instead of the KitchenAid version of this tool. This tool is far more durable, substantial, and easier to clean than other versions. It mounts easily and operates "almost" perfect. A problem is that the Food Pusher is about 1/16th of an inch too long and damages the blade assemblies (Slicing and Course Shredding blades) when slicing and shredding.I solved the too-long Food Pusher by installing a 2.25" diameter rubber O-ring (from Lowe's plumbing section) under the Food Pusher flange. Also, the factory KitchenAid Attachment Screw Knob is difficult to tighten and loosen, particularly behind this attachment and with my older fingers. Instead, I replaced it with a Lowe's Fluted Knob w/male stud -5/16"-18 X 1-3/4. I ground down the inserted end of the stud to a dull point - like the factory knob. Now the attachment (and all attachments) is much easier to exchange.I still have two damages and useless blades (Slicing and Course Shredding blades)! I hope the factory can replace them.1.10.23 Update: I sent a note to the manufacturer requesting help. Also, found that the lid from a 11.3oz Great Value coffee can makes a good cover for the output opening on the attachment.1.17.23 Update 2: I received a second boxed attachment 1.16.23. Thank you.

I don't review things often. but since this little monster doesn't have any reviews at the time of writing this I felt the need to say how good this thing is.First, it really does look amazing. It's super shiny and has a heft to it. Most of the stainless steel is about 1 mm thick. The knob on the pusher feels like solid steel. Everything fits together and operates smoothly and feels sturdy. The cutter cylinders are quite sharp and chewed through the 2 pound block of cheese with ease. This was a huge upgrade from the Kitchen Aide brand cheese and vegetable slicer that had the white base and clear tube. The only downsides is that the feeding tube on top feels a little smaller than the kitchen aid one, but that isn't a problem for me. also, just like the kitchen aide slicer - you can't push things through it too fast or the cheese can sort of get stuck in the rotating cylinder and won't fall out. it's not a big deal for me though - just don't force things through it too hard. and besides, it's really only an issue with the fine shredder. I know the conical slicers solve this problem for other plastic slicers I have found on amazon and would be nice to see that on the next iteration of this slicer attachment. since I primarily use this for cheese - I would also love to see a square shaped feeding tube since most cheese come in rectangular blocks.Being this is made of metal and has a simple yet robust attachment for the slicer cylinder inside the cylinder hole (there is 6 bent tabs which lock the cylinder in place) - This is going to last a lot longer than my 2 year old and already broken kitchen aide brand slicer.
