This is a compact hammer, about six inches long.The face of the hammer and the claw are standard size, so it is useful for hammering in nails or wall-hanging implements. It's good for storing in a drawer where you store your other stuff and tools (e.g., screwdrivers).Very good value for the money.

I needed a small hammer for use in tight spaces, smaller projects/items, and for finishing nails. A great budget hammer that is balanced in weight, and heavy enough to drive nails without much effort. The handle grip is rubber and provides a good strong hold in your hand. The handle length is just right in length. I have medium sized hands, and it fit perfectly in my hand when holding and using it.This was exactly what I needed to be able to get into small spaces to either nail or remove nails.
