Bought this for my daughter-in-law for her birthday. She loved it! We charged it under the kitchen lights for about a half hour just to see if it would work. It worked great! Sunflowers are her favorites.

Works well for a solar powered light! I recommend !Update: looked great but now won’t hold a charge. I can’t recommend now.

I was looking for something nice for a housewarming gift. When I saw this I was thinking, yeah, this will just be some cheap looking trinket that won't last a month. Well, I was wrong. I set it up in my patio area so it could get fully charged. When I saw the light later that night I was impressed! I had it sitting on a table and the pattern was beautiful! I left it on for a couple hours then decided to wrap it up for their gift.The recipients fell in love with it when they saw it. They have a nice deck but it had no lighting outside of the glaring patio light over the back door. After they had it sitting in the sun for a few hours (I really am not sure how long it was in the sun but I'm going to assume all day), they called me to come over. When they showed me the light I was amazed! I mean it's not bright enough to read a book or anything, but it definitely added enough light that you could see all of the areas of the deck so you don't trip over the dog or toys left by the kiddos. Definitely not harsh like the patio light. They had it hanging under their umbrella that they had over their picnic table. It was bright enough that we could enjoy each other's company without feeling like we were in the dark, but not so bright that it was obnoxious. There was a slight breeze so the beautiful patterns were dancing all over the deck. They said that the night before they had sat on the deck for hours and the light never seemed to dim. I was expecting it to only last maybe an hour or two but they said that they went in the house and really don't know how long it stayed lit. It's been over a month now and they are still enjoying it. Since it was always outside I was afraid that maybe the colors would fade or the metal would rust or tarnish, but according to them it was still looking new. I'm already planning on buying these as gifts for some other friends as well, especially the chicken pattern. I think that would be adorable in a farmhouse setting!

We love chickens around here, have a flock, but only thing missing is a rooster. We aren't allowed to have where we live though. So this beautiful rooster lantern is out near our chicken coop to help me take care of the hens on these colder and darker winter days. It took a couple days to reach full potential for brightness, but it said that in instructions that came with it.So far the battery life is good, seems built to last, maybe not for years and years being out in the elements. But it is a beautiful piece to add some character and light out near our coop!
