Not a very bright light, but does the job, although needed a reset once.

I purchased this item in Aug 2023. It worked well as a motion detector solar light until now (Oct 2024) when the motion detector failed. The red light still flashes when the unit is turned on, and then, after 2 bright flashes, fails to respond to motion on a dark night and when fully charged. It is a very robust looking item and so I am disappointed in its short life span. The solar panel seems to be working and I may try to save that for some other purpose.

The unit worked as intended, but then quit after 9 months. Will find another brand.

The LED SOLAR Motion Sensor Light has 8 individual LED lights. They are bright and can light up a small, 2 car driveway. The light can rotate 180 degrees - up and down, left to right. The solar panel can move up and down but not left to right. It installs easily with three screws, which are provided. You must charge the solar panel for 48 hours before use. The instructions are simple, they advertise three working modes: Mode #1 Dim Light when no movement, then bright light when sensing movement. Mode #2 Red indicator when no movement, then bright light activated when sensing movement. Mode #3 Always bright light at night. Unfortunately, changing between the three modes is difficult and after several hours, I can not figure it out. There is a button underneath the solar panel, but it does not cycle through the modes as instructed. It only switches between off and on, and the on mode is a constant dim light that is always on until motion is detected, it then turns bright for thirty seconds and then returns to dim mode after motion has stopped. I have not been able to activate the mode I was interested in, which was the mode where the light is off and only activates (the light) when it senses movement. My review is 2 of 5 stars. It installs easily and provides adequate light for a small area, back yard, driveway, etc. However, the difficulty switching modes is frustrating and it does not appear to have the setting where the light is inactive until motion is detected, then it would turn bright until movement is no longer active. No mode exists with this particular motion light. So, if this is something you also are looking for then you may want to consider a different make or model.

I have a pair of bright LED lamps in a motion sensor electric fixture. I was malfunctioning and not turning off after coming on sporadically. I could reset it by switching it off and then on again but I had it with the device. I added a couple battery driven motion detector lights that lit up the half of my parking area close to the garage and in front of the steps but the other area of the area where visitors would park was dark, That needed to change.I ordered this fixture to mount on a tree right off my drive, it works perfectly right now and provides plenty of light to that area of my parking area. I mounted it about ten feet up and aimed the solar panel to where I hope it gets enough light once the leaves return. Mounted on a Maple tree that gets big leaves and aiming, hopefully over a Japanese Maple with small leaves and not nearly as dense. If there is any issue with getting enough light to charge the battery, it's easy enough to adjust the panel sideways and up and down. Very nice fixture and just what I was looking for. If I were going to provide a negative, I'd say a brighter fixture would have been nice but it's plenty bright for my needs.

I’m giving 4 stars because 1 of the 2 lights I ordered stopped working (meaning not even the flashing red light turned on) after installation, although it worked perfectly fine before installation. For the light that DID work properly after installation, it was a great buy. The red light flashes constantly and the bright white light activates when motion is detected. I charged the lights in direct sunlight for 2 days before installation, which seemed to work well (until one light stopped working after installation). This would’ve been a 5 star review if one of the two lights didn’t break after installation.

We were really on the fence about having cameras, I've been robbed in the past and had footage of the thief in the act and the reality was it didn't help all that much. Plus the expense was in the hundreds of dollars and then the problem of storing footage (paying a storage subscription or investing in local backup).I just imagined us sharing a porch pirate video on Nextdoor with everyone else and never getting our stuff back anyway. So for $25 this decoy camera is probably doing 50-75% of the same job as a deterrent. It looks enough like a camera with the LEDs around the center "lens".My only complaint is that the nature of it having a solar panel to power it requires it to be exposed to the sun, which also means the rain. My front door area doesn't get a lot of direct sun so I had to place the camera in sort of an awkward location in order to get sun and still look like its watching the door/walkway. I have my doubts that this would hold up long term in a lot of weather. If I could tuck it under the eaves of my house it would probably be fine... but then it wouldn't get sun. It might be nice if the solar panel was on a 6'-10' cord or something so the camera/light could be mounted in a more protected location. I have other cheap (non-camera) solar lights that work this way.

The brightness is reasonable and the solar panel is a good enough size also. That it also seems to be a security camera is neat plus too.It is made to install very easily and be sure to put it where it gets a fair amount of sunlight during the day.The unit seem to be well made and fairly sturdy and gives me the impression it should hold up a fairly long while.I also appreciate that you can adjust the direction the solar panel is facing to be able to fine-tune it more as to where the sun goes thru the sky during the year.
