The weight, construction, and function of Spearman Alexandria Spout with Diverter was excellent. Would recommend, or buy again. The style and satin finish matched our other existing plumbing. The old, broken spout was connected by a male threaded fitting on copper tubing at the wrong length, so I just cut it off to suggested range (with tubing cutter, but hacksaw would have sufficed). Sanded the tubing shiny clean, and slipped on Spearman spout per instructions. VERY SIMPLE, Alan wrench only installation. Water tight, both the installation, and valve closure when diverting stream to shower.

I was looking for a pretty tub spout, leaning toward Victorian aesthetic. At first this thing looks huge, but side by side with a typical spout, not that bad. The main size difference is the spout outlet size. There won’t be more water coming out of it than a regular spout, but it sure gives that impression.Not installed yet, still running the basic plumbing.

Very nice looking, it seems heavy and well made, easy to install, your stub out from the wall must be 1/2 inch nominal copper pipe. I just used a 1/2 inch male adapter and soldered the 1/2 pipe for mineLooks much nicer than hold threaded one i had.

Easy to install: slide on and tighten with Allen key. An exact match to brushed silver ne I was replacing (bought to match shower head and taps). Works great. No more spraying onto the wall
