Very durable and thick. Great to use as a guideline for a router. This is perfect and will make the job much simpler. I want the connecting piece next. This will last a long long time.

Nice sturdy template. 1/4" thick acrylic which doesn't have any flex to it. The edges of the template could have been smoothed out a bit more, but it works nevertheless.

This router template is of a decent size and thickness. The puzzle shape is easily recognizable for what it is without being too complicated. How easy it is to use will depend in part on how skilled you are with a router, but the template itself seems excellent.

So, the router template showed up today and I couldn't wait to get my hands on it. Opening it up, the first thing I discovered was that it had several scuffs along one of the edges of the template. I was very concerned that this would cause issues when using a pattern bit with the router. The next thing I noticed was that this thing is actually quite thick. It's actually 7.83mm thick. Just a bit less than the advertised 8 mm. Well within my tolerance level.I grabbed my trim router and put a pattern bit in it.a The first thing I tried was the side that had the scuff marks in it and I'm happy to say that the marks did not leave any imperfections in the routered piece of wood. Next, I decided to router out part of the jigsaw pattern and see how it would fit into the actual template. It fit quite nicely, there was a tad bit of play between the two pieces but nothing that again was outside of my tolerances.Overall I think I would be quite happy with this pattern template.

Remember to take care when routing end grain, which you will do many times following this jig. Slow is smooth and smooth is fast. These are perfectly patterned to make a matching set of four that will slide together.
