This mount is a beast. I had my doubts about it but as long as you screw directly into the joists it's flawless. I hit my 150lbs outslayer bag for hours and not one soun or vibration can be heard throughout the rest of the house. Worth the money and I'm extremely satisfied!!

I purchased this spider bracket (which is beefy by the way) along with this PROLAST 150 lb - 6 ft banana bag . I, with the assistance of another person, installed this bracket. I expected it to be a little heavy, and it was, but it was still simple to install. We followed the supplied instructions (very easy to understand); it took about 20 minutes. CAUTION!: Be sure to wear safety goggles when mounting this bracket due to the debris falling from drilling the holes. We hung the bag without a glitch. It looks great, and the bracket did the job.

Bought this as an unofficial Christmas gift to myself. I don’t write reviews typically, but this item does what it says, so I thought I would let people know. I was concerned about space in my garage, including the bag swinging and colliding with hanging bikes or our rower. I bought this in hopes of minimizing swing and stress on the roof. Our roof in the garage is a little over 10 feet tall, so I was worried about the “pendulum effect”, and the bag swinging, well, like a pendulum.Anyway, this works great. The black snowflake shaped piece in the middle acts like a 360’ teeter totter, and the bag hardly moves at all. I used the 200 pound mount with a 135 pound bag, and all looks good. I’m just a regular guy, no power puncher, but I am 6’ 4” 250 pounds, so there’s some body behind the punches. I see no stress on the ceiling, and the bag barely swings at all.I included a couple pictures. I’m no carpenter or professional bag hanger-er, so I wouldn’t look to my method for guidance. I bought an additional swivel and spring. This was just a cheap way to drop the bag the distance I needed. I think it helps a little with movement as well.Oh, and I would ask a friend to help mount it. Getting that first bolt in by yourself is tough. It actually fell on me and smacked me right in the forehead. The bolts don’t seem to weigh much until they hit you. If you go it alone, maybe wear a baseball hat at least!

I mounted this Spider 200 unit to the joists right thru the ceiling in my cottage, which should be noted is a very old, rickety cottage built in the 1940’s.I hung a brand new 150 pound Outslayer Muay Thai bag and with my first training session was delighted to find it to be dead quiet with absolutely zero vibration transferred into the ceiling, even with full tilt roundhouse kicks and spinning back kicks.My ceiling joists were a little past 16” center to center, but this was not at all a problem, as the install holes for the lag bolts allow for a solid half inch of adjustment either way.This is a perfectly conceived and engineered product. If you want a clean and quiet in-home install for a full size heavy bag, you WILL NOT do better than this Spider 200.DONT HESITATE. It’s literally flawless.

My son built a gym in our basement and his heavy bag used to shake the entire house. We live in a townhouse, and the neighbours on both sides were complaining. It was damaging the back wall, and causing things to fall off shelves. I couldn't use my living room when he was working out because the noise and shaking were so intense.I didn't know anything about proper gym setups, but I had to do something, so I started researching and found out about heavy bag mounts. I wanted to get the best mount I could for a reasonable price, and chose this one. I know it's a cliche to say this, but my only regret is not getting it sooner. I've never had to worry about noise or vibrations from the heavy bag again.

I I stalled my 150lb heavy bag in the garage. There is a bedroom above it. When working out the entire bedroom vibrated and so do the kitchen which is not even adjacent to the garage. It was not useable at all. Then I came across the Spider mount. I was not sure about buying it due to the cost. The bracket I had up was $18 why would I pay over $200 for a bracket?? Why, because it really does work. It does exactly what it states it will do. Now when I workout there is a faint noise of gloves hitting the bag but absolutely zero noise and vibration from the mount or bag itself. When I say zero noise I really mean zero noise. I added a second spring grip but knowing how good the product is I didn’t need it. I just installed it because it was already paid for. It is solid construction. Quite heavy to mount on your own but I was able to do the job solo just needs a bit of planning. As you can see my joists were not the right size so I installed a couple of braces. Fits perfectly and sturdier than I thought it would be. It is pricey but when you actually see the product and realize just how well built it is it’s definitely worth the money. My advice if you’re on the fence is but it. Don’t worry about it you will be so pleased that you invested in it, and so will your family!!! I haven’t found any faults at all to write about. Comes with the bolts and washers that you need. Excellent bit of kit and a real game changer for me.

Hello everyone.You get what you pay for, no noise, no vibration. I just added another piece of wood so: 1. It creates that extra buffer and 2. I can ensure I screw into the floor joists.

Was on the fence about this product as it is expensive, but after reading all the great reviews I had to try it. Well i have to say I am super impressed, my last setup was terrible, I really thought I was going to do damage to my roof, put the spider 200 up with a 100lb bag and I have to say it's amazing, I beat the living crap out of this bag and the springs do all the work, this product is amazing, if you have a heavy bag and need the perfect hanger without a doubt this is it, yes it's expensive but now after using it, 100% worth every cent
