I put this on my Ranger Reata and it made all the difference in the world when you hit a wave. I would recommend this to anyone trying to save their back especially running on the waters of Lake Erie .

The seller sold part as new. This pedestal did not operate as this wave dampening model springfield ez-ride was advertized. This item was sent used ,you could see mark where someone tried to install it. This was sent defevective by seller. This seller can not be trusted for sell product as advertized

Came right on schedule and I was unpleasantly surprised to find a few thousand cone paper cups and no pedestal. Will try to re-order but my faith is shaken and my credit card awaits the refund.

First of all, I'm not one to write a review without first hand, personal experience with a product.The Springfield EZRide wave dampening pedestals replaced the regular Springfield pedestals that were installed by my boat manufacturer. I've been using the Springfield EZRide wave dampening pedestals for 2 seasons now on Lake Erie and feisty Lake St Clair. Incredible performance that really smooths out the ride. So much so that I bought a second pedestal for the passenger side. After all, their health and comfort are important too.No more back, neck and shoulder issues due to pedestal dampening absorbing the shocks. So while my chiropractor and masseuse really miss me, I do not miss them.In hindsight, I should have bit the bullet and made the pedestal upgrade years ago. Boating/fishing is much more pleasurable now and provides confidence taking on a heavy chop if the need arises.The Springfield company has been around since 1952 and are a well known, trusted brand for marine products. It certainly shows in the high quality of the pedestal construction. I know of no other product that delivers such great performance improvement at a lower cost.The Springfield wave dampening pedestal is highly recommended.

Havnt used it yet but seems ok,matched with tempress ortho seats which are sweet and made in usa..took me a month to get pedestal, returned damaged and was like pulling teeth to get reordered..month later showed up..
