Completely useless to me. Advertised as grounded timer… and it’s only a 2 prong.

Pros: It is easy enough to operate/adjust.It seems to be keeping time accurately.Cons: It makes a constant ticking noise. This seems to just be a part of the design of mechanical timers in general (all of mine do it). Go digital instead if you'll need peace and quiet. The numbers are tiny and very difficult to read in the dull room that I use it in.

If you're over 40 years old, don't buy this timer. The numbers and indicators are so small, a magnifier glass and taking a picture and blowing it up still doesn't show the numbers. 3 full grown adults slightly over 40 cannot see how this works because the numbers and indicators are so small. The arrow showing where the time is, is almost invisible. So all 3 of us tested this timer out and confirmed it does not turn on and off the lights when the correct tabs are up for OFF and down for ON. So much trouble and it doesn't work. I will be returning this item. I give this product a zero star rating. Got to order a 3 prong timer that works and that isn't made by elfs. lol.

This timer is exactly what I wanted. I use it to keep a bedside lamp on just long enough for me to fall asleep while reading. I can set this timer to turn the light off after 30 minutes (or 60 minutes, or any multiple of 30) so that I end up asleep in a darkened room. It is very easy to adjust for immediate use (no complicated digital setting pattern to go through), and it doesn't make an annoying ticking noise like some mechanical timers. A very simple solution to a simple need. It's easy to use and seems very durable. It would also work well if left to turn one or two lights or other appliances on and off for 30 minutes or more throughout the day. There is no limit to how many times per day.

Not super accurate in terms of minutes but it does the job, is cheap, and very reliable.Got this over a digital version so that Incase I have a power outage and my stuff turns off it will turn back on once the power resumes and finish its cycle (yeah of course it will be at the wrong time but my stuff will still get X amount of time on/off)Update: a year and a half and bought another one, first one still works as good as the first day I got it.

This gem works great. It has double ports WITH ground capabilitie. It was the perfect addition to my room. Now i never have to worry about switching the lights on or off. Simple "square pins" (aprox 100), on a full 24h clock. Pull them out for Off, leave them in for on! Even has a timer/on switch for when you need the extra half hour without changing your set-up!! Rarely, am i a 5 star guy. But this HONESTLY is 5 star.

The quality control on this item is obviously horrendous. For every glowing review there is a horrid one. My experience was in line with the latter. The timer just inexplicably stops at some point in the night, leaving my Christmas lights on. Not only a waste of energy, but this device doesn't do the ONE thing is it designed to do -- keep accurate time! In the garbage it goes.

Like the idea it has 2 side receptacles. Power cords lie flat against wall

Why the low star rating for this??! I've had this timer for close to two years now, and it's been great. I originally bought it for my Betta fish tank heater, and I've had no problems with it. The time is still accurate, and it's still going strong despite constant use. I'm actually considering getting another one for the lights on Daughter's bearded dragon tank. Would highly recommend!

Terrible timer. Bought Stanley brand because of their reputation with other tools. Timers are not their specialty! Refused to keep time, they were useless.

This did not keep time from the first day. Simply wanted it to control 2 grow lights. Refused to work properly. Went in the trash.
