My sunroof in my car was leaking and after repairs made there was a smell of mildew in the car. This product worked great. Left it overnight and opened the windows the next day so it could air out. Car is back to normal! Recommend 10/10

Followed the instructions. They are not that hard and a monkey could follow these instructions.Treated my car overnight on a hot summer night (last night), and in the morning the smell was still there. No chlorine smell at all. Also, I noticed there was still product in the white pouch. Even though I saturated the sponge, and the white pouch was damp, there were still crystals in the white pouch.Either I got a defective product, or something isn't right.

I used this on my 1991 36’ Carver boat. Since the boat was purchased in 2006, I have combatted multiple malodors, ranging from mildew to hints of sewer. It has always been a struggle, with my latest best success being the use of tea tree oil. The tea tree oil worked very well so long as a healthy quantity was on hand, and air was kept circulating. As the oil was used up, the odors would return, and even fabric items left for only a day on the boat would have a mildew funk. While exploring other options, I stumbled across Star Brite Mildew Odor Control. I ordered 2 packs and used both on my boat. I went back to the boat today and to my happy surprise, there are now zero offensive odors remaining. I think for the first time ever I got on the boat and it simply smelled like fresh air. Since this worked so well, I decided to try other Star Brite mildew products, such as their mildew stain remover. Again to my happy surprise, that product instantly cleaned hull liner fabric so it looks like new. No more dark areas from mildew that lingers at the base of the fibers in this fuzzy fabric. If you have an older boat, you have mildew. If you have mildew, get these 2 Star Brite products, and make your boat a breath of fresh air and sparkling clean too.

I had a positive experience with this product. I had some mildew smells inside the cab of my 12-year-old 2005 Subaru Legacy Wagon. I did prep the car by removing all the floor mats and cleaned the interior dash, doors, leather seats with 303 Multi-Surface Cleaner Spray and Protectant. I followed the instructions for the NosGuard fast action instructions by adding water to the sponge and slipping the packet inside of the sponge. Then I sealed up the car and ran the A/C set at 72F for 1/2 Hr with the NosGuard activated. Half-hour later, I stopped the engine/ac and let the packet do its work inside the car for 26 hours. The next day after airing out the car for three hours, all of the odors were gone. Just a hint of Chlorine smell.I did some research how to use Chlorine Dioxide odor treatments from the web and there are things you should do to maximize the effectiveness. Your car should be out of the sun. Apparently, sunlight and heat will diminish the effectiveness of the Chlorine Dioxide. Also, Chlorine Dioxide works best when the ambient temperature is between 60-80F degrees. During the longer treatment, I kept my car inside a closed garage during 69F weather. Away from any ambient light. I did it over a weekend when I could leave the car parked in the garage and not drive it until Monday morning. There are other Chlorine Dioxide treatments for sale by other vendors, but most are several times more expensive than this product. So I was very pleased with the results. Just know Chlorine Dioxide treatments aren't quick. Give it at least 24 hours to do its work. And clean the car to remove the cause of odors before using this treatment.

This product has been a real allergy-saver. It is an unusual product for many of us, so I'll provide some information here to help you understand what it is and how it can be used. This product is a granular product that emits chlorine dioxide (CD) upon exposure to air. CD has a lot of formulations and applications. This version is a slow release version, which means the granules emit CD over a period of days to weeks. Rapid-release formuations might only emit CD gas for a few hours. You can turn a slow-release into a fast-release by sitting the packet on a damp-dried sponge.CD also is available in tablets for water disinfection, and liquid formulations that have activators to emit CD over a period of hours to weeks. There is even a CD mouthwash available (CloSys). The product is quite safe when used as directed. Sellers try to make the product mysterious so you will commit to their overpriced products and systems. I've noticed few details are easy to find. With this particular product and formulation, I've used it in the following ways: (a) I put the packet in a plastic storage box full of musty but important paperwork, shut the lid and let it sit for 3 days. Mold smell is gone. (b) Put the packet in my car, shut the door overnight, ran the a/c for 5 minutes while idling in morning, aired the car out. I did this for 2 nights and it took away the funk mine and many cars' a/c systems have. This doesn't cover up odors; it kills mold and bacteria and oxidizes remaining odors. It works similarly to ozone but is more powerful.CD products have been used by libraries to stop the mildewing of books - they hung the packets around the storage stacks. You can put one or 2 of these in a closet to get rid of musty odors. You need to keep the packets away from fabric and surfaces (use the included protective box), so as not to bleach them. You also need to air out the space you use this product before breathing in too many fumes - don't leave the packet in the closet for days or weeks at a time. A breath or 2 or 3 at these low concentrations won't hurt you, but don't spend extended periods of time around it.

This product eliminate the odor, however it was not an overnight process. Each day the smell became fainter, fhe area directly treated is now odor free. The surrounding areas have just the slightest whiff of odor.the product did the job, just not as seedily as we expected. Very good product. If needed I would buy this product again.
