We have a cottage in a very remote, northern Michigan area. We needed a mount that could be adjusted just right for us to find the signal. I can't recommend Starlink or this mount enough. We have a happy husband that doesn't have glitchy TV and can watch his sports.

Different sized nuts.. saved time by going and getting my own. Part that hooks up to starlink is plastic, so be careful when you tighten or it will break with ease.

This is a great cheap alternative to an expensive mount. I used washers and deck screws to mount it to a shingle roof. That being said some 1/2 inch lag screws would be perfect. I used lexel to seal around the mount and prevent leaks. All in all this product works great.

Works well after a couple of modifications. Do not assume that this mount will work on every roof slope. I had to drill a new hole between the pre-drilled ones that come with the base so that the post would be near-vertical when mounted on my roof. This extra step could compromise the holding strength. Also, the unit came with what I believe are friction-style masonry or stone anchor bolts, a far cry from the lag bolts I bought at the local hardware store to secure it to the plywood sheets under my shingles. FYI - I installed an extra 2x10 board between my trusses in my attic so there would be a solid anchor.
