It was that wide and had to bend it a little to fit over the thermal pads and the NVMe also prevented from fully seating the metal peace downSteam deck

I upgraded the SSD in my Steam deck with an MP600 drive the heat sink and pads in this set. They fit well and seem to keep the drive cool. Gets the job done.

I used this heat sink kit for a 1TB M.2 2230 SSD in my Beelink EQi12 mini. I removed the wifi card and used the 1TB in that slot, so if you are familiar with the Beelink mini, there is no heat sink installed where the wifi card is sitting. Using CrystalDiskInfo, prior to adding the heat sink, the SSD had been running around 126 degrees Fahrenheit. After installing the heat sink kit it brought it down to about 116. So definitely happy with the results.

I ended up with a spare 1TB 2242 SSD when the housing I bought with it was DOA and I didn’t have time to return it.Since it’s an m.2 gen.4 x4 with rated 7k/5k r/w speeds, the second enclosure, a Satechi TB4 enclosure, was chosen befitting of the SSD’s top speed, and attached to a TB4 dock for a mobile Resolve/Premiere editing rig as a super-fast offload/edit scratch disk. This way, I have all of my daily assets on my local disk, while video files get offloaded to the scratch disk, and backed up to local and Time Capsule.

Had to reform with pliers to fit ssd. With other heat sink kits sold for ssds bands are provided to hold heat sink against chips snuggly. Had to use bands from another kit to hold in place. Heat sink did work and drop temps but modifications are required.
