Beautiful tones! I didn't receive the warranty document. Not being a muscian, I do not know the symbols above or the lines below the numbers so. I don't know how to use them. half moon over a two numbers with underline , half moon over two numbers not underlineed, when it shows two numbers together as in 53 ping both at the same time or separately, or two #5 beside each other, do I ping both of the #5 choices (upper/lower)etc. ... Some education please. I'll have to teach my grandsons :-)

Bought this to be a rain drum for my mom to listen to while outside. Even just hitting it with the provided sticks the sound is amazing. We haven’t had a hard enough rain to notice it is going to work while outside in the rain. The sound is so calming and peaceful.

This is truly a remarkable musical instrument. After ten minutes out of the box, I was even playing beautiful melodies. Obviously, it doesn't take much to figure out the basics, of the Tongue Drum. It is easy to produce wonderful resonate tones, striking the face of the Tongue Drum, with the included mallet.The Tongue Drum produces music that can only be described as calming, relaxing, meditation music. It gives voice to the rain, vignettes of special places in the forest, the surging of ocean waves, the cascading waterfalls of a wilderness stream. Think of places you have been that relax the body and stimulate your consciousness and creativity. If those places could make music, it would sound like the music of a Tongue Drum.All that may sound a bit over the top, but it's my clumsy attempt to give physical attributes, to something that can not be experienced visually. Merely listening, quietly, to the Tongue Drum's melodious tones, can have profound impact on a person's psyche.This particular Tongue Drum has 15 notes, is 14 inches (35.56 centimeters) in diameter, and tuned to the key of D.I got so excited with my Tongue Drum, I was compelled to do some research and find out what a Tongue Drum is all about. Turns out, the Tongue Drum's origins can be traced back to ancient civilizations in Africa, Asia, and the Americas. However, there is some controversy here with other Tongue Drum versions originating with the Aztecs, and the ancient Chinese chimes of the Western Zhou period. These primitive versions were typically used in tribal ceremonies, religious rituals, and for communication across distances. Today, there are many Tongue Drum recordings, featuring masters of the instrument, and even sheet music.If you want to experience pure and natural melodious tones, that come from a heritage dating as far back as the Aztecs, or China's Western Zhou period, bang on a Tongue Drum, it will set you free!

This 14" diameter 15-note steel tongue drum has an absolutely gorgeous tone and really pulls the user into spending time playing the instrument. This steel drum will be easy for any percussionist to learn, and I found the included mallets produce the best tone even compared to my other high-quality rubber and plastic mallets, so I'm very glad the seller included these mallets as they add a lot of value to this kit. The seller also included some finger pads for hand playing and alternate mallet heads which are both made of very soft plastic. The steel drum has 3 rubber feet to elevate it from the surface it is resting on, allowing the drum to ring out and produce the best possible sound. The included case for the drum is also good quality with a pocket for the included mallets and should help protect the instrument over its lifetime. I would expect this instrument to last one to several decades with care, but local climate may affect its longevity. This instrument is made of steel with a protective coating on the outside only, the inside is bare steel, leaving it vulnerable to corrosion of the metal over time in salty environments. I really like the large diameter of the drum which produces rich tonal qualities and the 15-note range which gives the drum a lot of flexibility in songs. The kit includes a song book for the drum which is great for beginners. Overall a high-quality instrument at an affordable price.

Like the other size steel tongue drums I have, the sound out of this one is amazing. The tone is sharp and in tune and it holds up well to light and heavy play. The stickers add options to highlight the notes to better suit your preferences. The bag is a great bonus and protects and makes it very portable.

I really like this tongue drum. I have a few different ones but this one is larger and more full-sounding. The woven band around the outer edge helps dampen some of the stray overtones. Its range of 15 notes gives you plenty to work with.
