The plastic gears failed after lifting just under 200 lbs 4 times. The marketing claims the gears are metal which is completely false, the gear on the motor is metal which connects to partially metal gears that transfers to plastic then into another plastic gear. The plastic gear that turns the shaft split apart and multiple teeth sheared off the other plastic gear.

Updated. Very good. Good value. Quiet. Pre set up so all you have to do is connect red to POS. And black to ground. BuT. You will need a 123 12v battery for the remote. You can order on Amazon. It does not come with a battery. You will also need a good solid 12v DC power source. I used a sealed 6AH battery and a NOCO battery maintainer both from Amazon to power it. I think it should come with the battery for the remote. Only had it 3 days. Ordered a second one just to see if they come with a battery. But no. Got 2 no 123 remote battery.

Works great. Wired it up to my lights so only connected when lights are on. Zipped tied the controller under my hood. I keep the remote control on the side of my windshield in the cab.

Used it to open and close articulating costume wings. However this stopped working within just a few tries of opening and closing the lightweight wings.
