We have a 12' x 24' pool and wanted to find a way to swim laps in it. This was the perfect solution! You just attach it to the pool, and there is a strap for each ankle. The elastic cord stretches out while you are swimming, but when it's tight, it holds you in place. My husband was able to get to the end of the pool if he put a lot of force into his swim, but with casual swimming, it held him in the middle. He stated that the straps were comfortable and seemed sturdy.

I have a small above ground pool and I got this so I could get a good swimming workout. But this really was not made for a small pool. But I also was able to rig it up so that it works for me. Had to get clever and hook it up with a pole outside of the pool. If you have a bigger pool this will work for you easily. If you have a small pool, you have to get clever and figure out a way to rig it so the line does not let you hit the end of your pool. Either way, this training cord is a good way to get a swimming workout in without having to swim back and forth in your pool.
