Purchased this adjustable pedestal in March 2023. Installed it and took the boat out one time. Worked as expected. A couple days ago I was removing the bow seat and pedestal since we were doing a waterski trip. The pedestal was raised so I pushed the lever to lower it for ease of removal. The level just broke off. I did not push this hard. The boat had been stored under a mooring cover in our carport so it was not exposed to the sun so it was not damaged by exposure. Needless to say I am extremely disappointed. Attwood is a well known quality manufacturer and we have many of their products on our 2 boat so I was doubly surprised by this failure.

I bought this pedestal specifically because it is supposed to be adjustable height. It doesn’t adjust at all. Unfortunately I did not use it right away and can not return it now so it’s an expensive paper weight. Don’t buy it, if you do buy it, try it out immediately and return it if it doesn’t work.
