Works fine at a very good price, best to dismantle, clean thoroughly and assemble (including the rails). Use your own grease. These are matched if you are buying rails, a White Out (correction) pen works well for labeling.

4-stars because the carriages aren't interchangeable. Meaning, the blocks only slide smoothly with the rail they were packaged with. So there are tolerance issues somewhere.Its not a huge deal as they work great and I'm using them on a laser engraver, which won't see much torque.

If you plan on using other standard MGN12H carriages on your rail, it won't fit. Only the one carriage that comes on each rail will work properly. If you need multiple carriages or want your system to be interchangeable with standard sizes, I recommend buying something else. This product doesn't seem to be a true MGN12 size.

The MGM12H, 450mm I had ordered came with some defects. One of the rails was bent in the center in two directions by about 1-2mm. The other rail and cartridge had play. After placing the cartridge that was experiencing play on the other rail the play was gone. Which means that the original matting rail was not matched properly.

I am a bit disappointed with the quality because after carefully degreasing the rails and applying a small amount of machine oil, only one of the guides is sliding smoothly. I have since pinpointed the problem to one of the rails, which is an outlier in the reported tolerance. I verified the faulty rail by swapping the blocks with a pair that I have been using successfully for years to see if it was still sticky, which it was. Maybe paying 50USD for two blocks and a working rail is the risk one take with purchasing these ones

The fit and finish of the rail and slide blocks is very good given the price point; making them a good value. The fit of the slide blocks to the rails seems to have a very slight preload. The wipers do not press the rail top surface so there will be some frequent maintenance needed especially in dusty or otherwise hostile environments. They are not glass smooth in their movement but again given the price they do meet my expectations. It would be nice if rail plugs were included or at least offered as an accessory. That would be a big help in keeping the system clean.

One rail was dead flat on my granite table. The other has about 0.2mm bow. The carriages must have a slight pre-load to them. They have absolutely zero backlash or play in them. They do not slide under their own weight but they are close. There is two spots that are slightly tighter on one rail. The M3 mounting holes in one of the carriages needed cleaned out (chased the threads with a tap) before i could get a screw to go in.
