The Hedgehog spiral featherboard has a unique spiral shape and single knob that quickly pivots into position with one hand. Traditional featherboards require you to stop what you’re doing, loosen two knobs, reposition the featherboard, and then retighten each knob.
The Hedgehog's Benefits
The Hedgehog featherboard's spiral shape and curved fingers reduce kickback which is when the board is flung back toward your body. The board easily moves in the foward direction but not in the reverse direction.
The Hedgehog featherboard improves safety by pushing the board tight against the fence which helps reduce kickback.
The Hedgehog featherboard is made of toughened engineered DuPont nylon resin for strength and impact resistance.
FAQs
A: 3/4-inch wide x 3/8-inch high: The miter clamp is cast aluminum and CNC milled for tight tolerances and a precision fit. It is designed to fit 3/4-inch wide miter slots. If you have a 5/8-inch or metric miter slot, the Hedgehog miter clamp will not fit. However, a bundle is available that includes a 5/8-inch miter clamp: search for B09M2M53YK.
A: Yes! Simply disassemble the Hedgehog, flip the body over, and re-assemble.
A: The minimum reach from the center point of the knob (or center of the miter slot), with two "feathers" contacting the workpiece is 1-9/16 inch. The maximum reach from the center point of the knob (or center of the miter slot), with two "feathers" contacting the workpiece is 6-3/4 inch.
A: Holding the Hedgehog in your hand, tighten the knob A LOT. This will flare out the miter clamp. If that does't work, use a flat blade screwdriver inserted into the gaps on the miter clamp to flare it out. Go easy as it doesn't take much.

Sometimes you need to work on the other side of the table saw blade. Simply remove the Hedgehog's knob, flip the hardware to the other side and you're good to go!

Does its job well. I have two. I was ripping some 6ft boards and it did its job well keeping the material against the fence. Simple and effective.

Design is simple and effective. It was easy to install, it keeps my material tight to the fence on my table saw, it’s easy to adjust, and it stays in place. No complaints.

It’s a pretty simple tool, but it is multitudes better than the old featherboard. It has a huge rotation to take up space with simplistic adjustment, but the best part is it doesn’t use t track. The hold is a wedge fit so you don’t have to fight a t track, just set it in the saws track and tighten down. The wedge expends when you tighten the knob and stays in place, i love it.

It was a very nice product, but unfortunately, I had to return it because it didn’t fit the grooves on my tabletop. Lesson learned, read all the description before purchasing.. my bad.

Also für das Geld muss man eindeutig sagen "nein danke" ! Habe eine Bosch gts 10 xc und der mitgelieferte Nutenstein passt nicht mal ansatzweise. Nach zurechtschneiden und feilen des Nutenstein wollte ich es Dan ausprobieren und man bekommt es nicht per Hand so festgedreht das es fest sitzen tut ohne es beim sägen zu verschieben. Fazit...dieses Produkt funktioniert nicht so wie hier beschrieben.

This thing is cool, but needs a little tape to fit properly in the slot. The tightening knob doesn’t do much, if they fixed that it would be awesome. The price is a little steep, the milescraft is a good alternative- it fits the slot and tightens in to place better.Hedgehog- if I’m doing something wrong let me know Dwe7485

Really well made product. Easy to use and so quick to adjust!! I’m using this featherboard more often since the one-handed adjustment means you can keep working without as many interruptions. Really useful when working with narrow boards at the tablesaw.
