While looking around for a 24” smooth top cooktop, this was one that met our amperage requirements. Confirmed this does not go over 30 amps, 26.5 was the highest the amps went with all burners on high. This is the second one purchased but the first cooktop lasted 2 years, was hoping for more but for the price I didn’t expect too much longer. I’ll say this though, this second one they made improvement’s, the ceramic top is much more scuff resistant, the burners heat up faster and consistent. For the value price, even if I go thru 3 of these within 6 years, it’s equivalent to one expensive cooktop that will only last 3 years. So we’re very pleased with this second one and would recommend to anyone needing a 30 amp, smooth top, 24” cooktop.🤙🏼

Je me suis procuré cette plaque de cuisson et le résultat est formidable.Celle-ci prend peu de place sur un comptoir de dimension réduite.Bien que les connexions électrique m'aient embêté un peu, tout fonctionne convenablement et je recommande fortement.

Purchased this burner and had is installed, it works well for the most part and can get hot enough to boil water quickly, the simmer options are a little touchy as the temperature setting is not that accurate.I also find the buttons are a little finicky. In hind sight I should have gone with the dail option

After just a year the touch sensor’s quit working and I’m out $329. Even after contacting thermomate they requested a video. I’ve done everything they’ve asked and haven’t gotten back to me. Amazon apparently can’t do anything else for me. I’ve made a lot of large purchases with Amazon and I’m terribly disappointed that they won’t help me. I could likely purchase the same item and return the broken item instead which would be within there policy. I won’t do that but the item hasn’t even been used a year either. Honest person gets screwed again. Will be cautious about ordering for my personal and company products in the future.

I contacted the service at Thermomate, they analysed the issue, they decided to send me a new unit after the evaluation. I was satisfied with their service.

It turned right on and works great. It has individually timed elements to turn off when the time is up. Gets hot quick. Boils water as good or better than the POS whirlpool I had before this. IDK about longevity. I don't see why it would fail any time soon. Only gripe I have it the touch stuff. It's a little tedious, but once you get used to it, it's fine. The instructions clearly state that when the two biggest elements are on at the same time, it alternates between them to avoid overloading the unit. Read the instructions people!Overall, fricking great for the money. I should have enough saved to buy the Viking by the time this one dies.

Work well. Takes a while to get the feel of how the buttons should be pushed. There was no info in the website to indicate it was rated for a 40 Amp breaker (it was shown on the install sheet). I had the wiring done for a regular stove so it worked for me. The math calcs for this stove says a 35 amp breaker would do.

The stove is easy to install. Had to hire an electrician. He got it in but had to spice wires with our older stove to use it with our current box. The stove looks really nice and modern. It is a bit hard to get cooked on stuff off of it but that happens on a rare occasion. Pans can slide when it is wet with drips if you aren't careful. Everything is spaced out nice on it even for larger pans and I used the center mostly but was able to easily get many pans on it while cooking for Thanksgiving. One downfall, the stove is a bit hard to clean completely. I usually let it soak a bit with spray. One other issue is that the stove takes a little bit longer to heat up. I have to turn it to 9 and then that is the highest setting so I have to wait for it to heat up then turn it down a bit. It takes longer than my old coil stovetop. As far as looks go, it's sleek and ultra modern. It looks stylish and I was so happy to get rid of the previous knobs so I can set things flat on it. I do like the lock function. It makes it hard to press buttons when you are setting things on top like groceries. It does allow me to use the space like a counter top when I am not cooking. That lock will come in good for small children. However a password would be good so if they are smart enough to press that unlock button it would be easy to turn on. Over all I would give it an 8 stars for beauty, function, and durability. I wish it would heat a bit faster but otherwise it's a good stove top if you are looking for a modern look. I have had zero problems with the electrical components or burners so far.

Needed a new cooktop for the kitchen after replacing the countertops with granite. We went with the 36" model cooktop and it looks great an functions very well. Installation was very simple. The cooktop was well packed and it came with a cardboard cutout template and you simply trace the cutout onto your mounting surface, make the cut and drop in your cooktop. (you do need to screw in 4 tabs and connect the power before dropping in the cooktop). The cooktop fit perfectly in the cutout and powered on with no issues. Note that when you first power on the burners they start at half power (5) you need to press the + up to 9 for full power or - for less power. Use flat bottom pans as they will heat better on this glass cooktop. Cleaning with a degreaser formula followed up with glass cleaner gave the best cleaning results. Been using the cooktop for a week now and I'm very happy with this purchase.

My opening for my old cooktop was 29X20.75. This unit fits the length of 29" fine, but is about 1/4" too short on the width (20.25" is more accurate for the new one). When I installed, I had a gap around the back of the cooktop. No big deal, but be prepared because this gap means any overboils or spills go into your cabinets. Otherwise, install is easy. Pull the old one, put the ears on the side of the new cooktop, drop it gently into the existing cutout, wire it in (be sure to shut off your breaker and DOUBLE CHECK YOUR VOLTAGE IS 0 AT THE JUNCTION). The pigtail has the wires crimped on the ends, so wire nuts don't work unless you strip back the pigtail some (which is what I did).

Delivery was fast as usual - thanks to Amazon Prime.Pros:Cheap compared to name brandLooks nice, and very easy to installoffer 5 burnersCons:Cut out dimension is inaccurateNot built for everyday cooking, takes way too long to warm up foods; boiling water takes forever. Will lock on you when there is a little moisture; sometimes it won't unlock. You will need to reset it at the breaker.Hard to clean and stain are hard to remove, leaves scratch.Electrical Hazard; has some internal wiring failure as mine trigged my breaker many times. The big burner went out within two monthsOverall, I did not have a very good experience with this cooktop. I also purchased a five year extended warranty to be safe. After two months, the large burner stopped working. The manufacturer said they don't have the part to fix it. They offer me a $50 compensation for the broken burner. Seriously, the large burner is the only thing that is worth with the whole cooktop. I declined their offer and requested a replacement or a refund. They stop answering my emails. Luckily, Amazon made it right.I spent more money and got me another brand. Now I can warm up foods and boil water in minutes.I do not recommend this cooktop
