I tipped my grill on its right side, so that the controls were up higher.Remove the screws and install the new control board. Press the reset button, unplugged it, then restart it again. And it worked just fineNew igniter is almost worthless. Very small. all in all, very easy to do. Good value.

Control panel screwed in and work as it should. Why junk a smoker when the repair is so simple and relatively inexpensive. Thank you for keeping my already 8 year old smoker going for hopefully another 8!

Not a reliable product, on the first time use the temperature was way off, stopped working in the middle of second time use, showed EE and then turned on.

Only difference i see is it doesn't say "Pitboss" on the front. I was getting a error code with the thermostat and when i pulled out my old one the wires to the thermostat were basically broken. Replaced the whole controller with this as my smoker literally went through a EF3 tornado and survived. Colored wires are the same as the old one but I connected one at a time to be sure. Works great.

When I installed this, I used the temp probe that came with my PitBoss PB700FB. The display on the piece, flashed 30 degrees, and would not go higher. I let it run for 10-15 min. The thermometer in the grill itself was up to 550 degrees ! Shut it down, let it cool, and replaced the temp sensor that came with new circuit board and it worked fine.
